I don't know how to cook rice..

shyt is simple. I dont even use chinese seasoning to make, I use the following:

white rice
green onion
white onion
minced garlic
butter
soy sauce
salt
pepper
sesame seeds
diced chicken breast
(no eggs)

2 cups of water in the pot.

A tablespoon of butter in the pot.

A teaspoon of salt. (Throw a lil pepper in there.)

Stir it for a couple minutes.

Cut the stove on high and let it boil

When it boils throw 1 cup of white rice in the pot SLOWLY while stirring.

Cut the stove on low cover the pot and let it cook for 25 min.

Before this thread i was confused about cooking rice and with all these different answers i'm still confused about cooking rice. Wish it were as easy as packet noodles. I don't want to buy 10, 1 minute rice and then combine them, cmon that is pathetic.

shyt is so difficult I've followed youtube tutorials, recipe books, even watched my Mom when i was younger. My girl looked at me like i was a Black Feminist when i said i couldn't cook rice and i still can't cook this shyt. Pasta is so easy to cook but rice

Cooking ain't for me brehs, i mean i can flip a burger, microwave or toss some shyt in an oven but when it comes to temperatures, measurements and intricate combinations, shyt is too difficult.

Different types of rice have different cook times. They all have the instructions on the packet. Follow them.
