Yup. I grew up in Wilmington, DE and there were cats that NEVER left the city. Some of these dudes died/got killed. It was kinda sad how people could live their whole life (a 20 year life at that ) in the same 40 block radius.

Baltimore and Detroit are the armpits of America. I used to think it was just incompetence or gross negligence on the part of authorities but after doing my own research I have come to the conclusion that it is by design that things are so fukked up.

Why is John's Hopkins university in a CAC part of north Baltimore, while the hospital is near a war zone in East Baltimore? To experiment on the desperate and harvest organs. Why are the schools fukked up? As long as it's fukked up they can keep asking for more money from the state. They are at $2billion a year budget and are just as dilapidated as ever. Why are the roads in such bad shape? They can continue to charge for repairs instead of fixing the road right once. The city functions on dysfunction.

Nearly half of all economic activity is tied to the black market. There wouldnt be a Lexington Market if it wasn't an open air drug market. If it wasn't for food stamps there wouldn't be any corner stores.

There is a small group of people profiting off of the city, and none of them live here. Imagine your a young professional CAC who buys one these overpriced rehabs in canton or fells point. Sure you live near restaurants, bars and Starbucks.... but after buying a house the next step is having kids.
Where will they go to school?

What playground isnt covered in glass, drug paraphernalia, and used condoms?

You gonna let your kids ride a bike outside dodging drunk drivers, fiends and potholes?

Detroit's downtown has nothing on Baltimore's downtown. The harbor alone bring in more visitors than anywhere in Detroit. As a matter of fact, the Harbor brought in more visitors than the National Mall did in DC.

Yeah I'd seriously like to see just exactly what he's talking about in detroit's downtown. Baltimore is pretty live at night.

They're trying there hardest to gentrify this fukking city. John Hopkins is buying up every piece of property and land it can and Under Armor has this dream of building some kind of Under Armor metropolis near the harbor. They're throwing up 300K housing where they're used to be nothing trying to bring in "young professionals" aka, white people.

Problem is that there's NO incentive to live in the city. You get raped with the taxes you pay just for living in it, and even in the designated safe white areas, (Canton, Fells Point, Federal Hill, Inner Harbor) you could still get fukked up or robbed sometimes.

The only time you see a huge influx of cacs is when the Ravens play, the Orioles play, comic con is in town or if it's a nice Saturday in June. Then when it gets dark, they head to the bars near the harbor, then they promptly get the fukk out when it's last call.

Mass transit is a joke. We have the light rail that only goes north south (conveniently having stops right in front of Oriole Park and M&T bank stadium). That's it. If you live on the east side or Westside of the city, fukk you. Catch a bus that comes once every fukking hour

I mean shyt, we can't even get a decent fukking concert here because the arena was outdated IN THE 70s. It has a stage in it. Like a fukking high-school. Look it up. Colleges have better arenas then we do.

For a city where almost all of the government is black, they do absolutely nothing to help they're own people.

They'll bend over and open their ass for Under Armor, no problem. Johns Hopkins been fukking them for years. The city loves building hotels that nobody will stay in. But make a true and sincere effort to help the people of the city? Nope.

Johns Hopkins Hospital was there before there was a black part of the city to begin with. Before the Great Migration Baltimore was a white city.

There would be a better Lexington Market without the open drug market, and methadone clinic next to it. Actually the current Lexington Market is about to be torn down, and another more modern version will be out in it's place. I hope the do get rid of the unsavory element that lingers around that market. It's bad for tourist to see, which gives pause to a person considering a move to Baltimore.

You can't fix potholes without the money, you don't have money when you have to spend money for extra policing in certain areas of the city because crime is so rampant, or because nikkaz don't work, which means they don't pay taxes, which means the city doesn't get money.

If nikkaz stopped looking at everything in black & white then they would see exactly what the issue is. Fells Point, Canton, Locust Point, Mount Vernon, downtown, Federal Hill, Roland Park, Charles Village, Bolton Hill, Brewers Hill, Patterson Park, Otterbein, Hampden, are successful neighborhoods because the people there are productive. They work, PAY TAXES, so they'll get the city's ear before a lot of other neighborhoods will.
