Most fans want to be brain dead to Negative vibes in the music instead of listening to something with logic and sense. What I realized is you can’t save the youth anymore. If you only want to listen to crash out music so be it.

I honestly don't even understand how someone can say they listen to hip hop for the "vibes". I understand not every one fukks with super lyrical and conscious shyt, but even when I'm listening to someone like Key Glock or Dolph the main thing that makes that music interesting to me is the violent, irreverent lyrics. I'm sorry but if you straight up are not paying attention to lyrics at all you cannot call yourself a rap fan. There are literally only three things that make a rap song: the beat/production, the flow and the lyrics. If you're ignoring one of those things every time you listen to rap, you are not actually listening to the music.

Besides “Juicy”, and “California Love”…..you just wanna scare the hoes?

I love each and every one of those tracks but all besides 2 won’t work in a party or club setting.

I always felt like the push for "lyrical rap" was a way for outside groups to get in the game and be taken seriously because then it just comes down to the pen/bars, whether you write it or not. Whereas "vibe rap" can't be replicated as easily by outside groups and there's less room for people outside of the culture to come in.

Ultimately I agree. Some of the most conscious music has politics I disagree with, methods of change I think won’t work or aren’t informed enough, and frankly doesn’t sound good. Music is entertainment and if it doesn’t entertain then why make it more than what it aims to be?

Prior to the mid 00s, how many successful white rappers were there? Lyricism prevents a ton of fukkery and a good way to stop non blacks from gaining much ground.

Lyrics are the least important part of a rap song

Imagine thinking so low of black people that we only can be educated through hip hop/music and not a fukking book

I swear the fukking Simon Biles level gymnastics you c00ns partake in to shyt on black people even if it makes you look absolutely retarded

What point are trying to make?
