My kids, I would want them to go play sports at UNC, Duke, Virginia, Vandy, or ND if they are elite. If they are just okay, I want them to go to Morehouse, Spelman, Howard, or Hampton.

So what you are suggesting is that black men and women exist in a segregated society again? That seems to be your implication.
The black crime rate isnt inconsistent with the fact that the American crime rate dwarfs that of other industrialized nations. It stands to reason --- black folks were integrated into that environment, and with few resources available to them, and living in a bitterly racist society that offers few avenues for mainstream enterprise for the black man, a cycle of dysfunction and poverty was created.
Poverty begets crime.

sad reality is, the South is still racist as fukk. the term "colored" is still used freely.

shyt like that is the norm in the South. Maybe not out in public for all to hear, but certainly behind closed doors or amongst friends. I've seen it many times. There's a little bit of racism rooted inside of damn near every white person. On the bright side, I think race relations are getting better and people will truly be "equal" in 2-3 generations.
