Serious question, what has Witten done to elicit this kind of response? Besides being white of course :heh: He's one of the most stand up guys in all of sports

His arrogant. He's acting like he's God. Walking in the locker room, think everybody wants to hang out with him. He real believe he's the shyt but he's not. I really can't stand him at all. Fuxk that pure cac.

I've heard a lot of media talk about how he's a HOFer...even a first ballot HOFer recently. He has all the numbers. 11,215 yards, 1020 recs, 60 TDs.

Still don't think he belongs. I think as a receiver (WR or TE) you have to be weapon that's almost unstoppable to get into the HOF. Shannon Sharpe, Antonio Gates, Kellen Winslow, Tony Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski were all walking mismatches and potential gamebreakers that could gash you all day and take over a game.

No defensive coordinator was ever like "Guy we really gotta stop Jason Witten. That's the key to victory." Yeah I know he can block. But he's always just been a dink and dunk guy with exceptional whiteness that was just consistent and played forever. He only averaged 11.0 ypc.
Yep you're dumb..

You think Tim Brown is a sure fire Hall of Famer but not Jason Witten ok..

To get in the hall you need at least good receiving numbers, no doubt. Witten has them. Your argument is not the numbers but rather big play ability :why: for a position made for blocking first and foremost.
Not just big play ability...overall receiving ability. People like Sharpe, Gonzalez, and Gates were much better receivers than Witten because their physical gifts and route running skills allowed them to get open and hurt you anywhere in the field. They got doubled, shyt Gonzalez used to get tripled, and had defensive assignments adjusted to stop them and they still bombed on cats.

Witten is just very good at being white and finding soft spots underneath and in seams and he has great hands.

Regarding his blocking I don't know what you're emphasing that so much for in a HOF conversation. Sure he's a great blocker but that's obviously not as important as being a dynamic receiving threat. Count down the top 10 or 15 TEs ever and they're all great pass catchers. Nobody gets into the hall for blocking other than o-linemen. Vonta Leach ain't going to the hall.

What else can be said about this thread that without sh1t posters like @Mephistopheles, we wouldn't know who the quality posters are on this board :yeshrug:
Yeah, so again who on that list of HOFers and future HOFers is he better than? He's a surefire lock right? If he's not better than any of them it's debatable as he would be the worst TE to ever get in the hall so stop acting like it's absurd to say he doesn't belong.

Your argument against him is pretty much that he's white and has the weakest (albeit STILL HOF worthy) stats of his HOF worthy TE contemporaries. You said DCs never worried about him & totally disregarded his blocking skills.

Horrible arguments all together.

Mix all that together, throw it in the oven and bake for an hour. The end results are sh1t posting fam :francis:

So he's not one of the best 4 TE's to ever do it? That's what you're trying to say breh?

No, I didn't disregard his blocking skills. I said they're of much consequence when it comes to HOF criteria. If you can show me a HOF TE who is in primarily or even significantly because of blocking I'll fall back. But you can't. Winslow and Newsome didn't block anyone and nobody questions them being in.

I didn't say DCs didn't worry about him, he just was never that threat you had to gameplan for.

He's consistent and he produces. I just think to be a HOF you have to be a dangerous playmaker as well and he was never that. My case stands.

You on the other hand have all but admit he would be the worst TE to make the hall, but are still saying an argument that he doesn't deserve it is somehow "shyt posting." Yeah ok.

Heath Miller will get some consideration so Witten's definitely getting in. Plus he's never missed a game I believe.

This guy Victor Von Doom use to suck Tim Brown off who to me was a total stat compiler.

Jason Witten makes plays.. All the time.. Over a period of over 10 years now.. He’s guttin defenses in the seams.. Defensive Coordinators know on 3rd down (the money down) that Romo is gonna look for Witten in the seam for that 1st down and they still couldn't stop him:heh: That right there shuts down your argument about DCs not gameplanning for him :what:

Tim Brown was never a dominant player. Never. He had speed when he was younger and was primarily a special teamer that gradually turned himself into a good WR.. He played a long time and compiled numbers on some Rafael Palmiero shyt and he got in..

Witten is a Hall of Famer..
