Especially the 2nd verse at 1:20
Does this song remind you of anything?
I can see why they used to call him Baby G Rap
Nah, can see a lot of inspiration from Rakim in Nas, Pun more like G Rap. Nas was inspired by both of them though.
Nas barley got any triple syllable rhyme schemes which Kool G is known for.Nah, can see a lot of inspiration from Rakim in Nas, Pun more like G Rap. Nas was inspired by both of them though.

False, even Nas states Rakim as a influence on how he rhymes..stop it..nas is nothing like rakim... at all.
I disagree @ carbon copy..like other poster said that is Big Puns lane.I think you talking about lyricism, even though I don't agree with Rakim and Nas' lyricism being similar. I'm talking about flow. Nas' flow is basically almost a carbon copy of Kool G Rap

Good point and clarification.Yeah probably not carbon copy, but his flow is way similar to Kool G Rap than Rakim
I think the media saw Nas and Rakim having the same cadence when they rhyme, and just ran with that 2nd coming thing
Influence doesn't mean bite..They don't sound a like in the least bit. from voice, to flow, to rhyme style. Nas is more G-Rap like with the content.
