Stop being an ignorant jackass. The economy has been in a recession since 07, older employed baby boomers have to work longer in order to retire due to the saving vanishing, which means less opening due to less retirees and thus less workforce flow for the younger generation. Throw in the fact that with rapid advancements in technology, agism is now a reality due to them being phased out. Older baby boomers who are highly educated are applying for these entry level jobs (usually) for college kids because their skills have been automated.

What used to be bachelor degree would suffice to get you nice middle class living is now a thing of the past. Thank the baby boomer generation for that. "Work hard, make shyt happen and make something shake" is words from a person of extreme ignorance. I am doing well but that doesn't mean I am arrogant enough to generalize a whole group of people I don't know and never interacted with. Stop being fed the propaganda from the media and do the research yourself. Seems like hating the millennial is new wave for the last year or so.
nikka I'm a millennial, not born into a great situation. My family lived in the hood my whole life, but I made a way to prosperity.

The tools to make it are out their, nikkas rather cry than get on their ten toes and make something shake.

There's a poor kid in India right now walking miles a day to get to a internet cafe so he can make some money through the Internet, and through that Internet he's gonna find a come up and change his family life.

But nikkas who got 24/7 access to the Internet wanna post on the Coli or social media about how "shyt hard out here" "there's no opportunity" :mjcry:. If you can't make it in the United States you can't make it anywhere so you might as well accept that or commit that.

I am an individualist so I think t boils down to that persons desire to make things happen.

But I will say that job wise it is harder for us because back in the day 40k in the south could support your wife two kids a decent hours and throw a lil sum sum at your mistress and b*stard kid :ld:

Now to do that you need 75 minimum. And that's just supporting your own family not your family across town.

if you black you better get you two hustles mane. A main and a part time job/ or hobby if you want that "benz and big house"

Me I got in he financial service gang ( CPA, CPP IN THIS HOE) because not only is t safe but it provides be with access to see the real movers and shakers in the industry wether private or government. Y'all gonna get to this money man. I have a daughter now and I still find time to bring in at least 4-5k a month.

Bros I am telling you to eat get a linkdin follow who ever is in the industry that you want to pursue. They always willing to give advice. And brehs I swear there is like a hidden black upper class society that put me on game ( and mighty even hook you up) and that's how I got my current job.

As black brehs we have to utilize every resource we have man. So when you do go on linkdin search for them man and don't be afraid to ask for help and advice. I had one CFO give a letter of recommendation and I never met him a day in my life. Asian, white and middle eastern brehs do this all the time. Now it's are time to do it.

Go fukk yourself, Midwest
Generalize a whole generation of people and wonder why they don't respect or fukk with you, brehs.

Life is different for millennials than gen x'rs, nikkas can't go out and buy apartments or go to college without using money, people have had the internet ever since they could walk, why wouldn't they want the easiest way out?

But I'm 18, technically i'm Gen Z :sas2:

Edit: I get why you'd write this, but seriously, there's enough Baby Boomers blaming young people online as it is, I don't want to hear other groups trying to shift the blame on "us"
Thats what it is...
Trying to shift the blame onto us...
Who raised this new generation?...
These old motherfukkers have no room to talk about any damn body...

Like I said there are hard workers and slackers in each generation. And my observations come from discussions with employers because those are circle of people I run in, it don't have any close friends that are employees matter of fact.

But to act like "under 35-UN reps, medical students, young lawyers, engineers, archaeologists, engineers, nationally-recognized writers, exemplary military leaders, etc" are the majority of millennials is :mjlol:

Like I said you are arguing from an ivory tower, if you only surround yourself with college educated high achievers you'll create a bubble and not see the the realities of the real world and most real people.

As I've said on here plenty of time my immediate circle ranges from a Harvard speaker of his class, to successful music managers, to killers and robbers. I've seen more in 8 years than nikkas will see in their entire lives, so Imma have a different perspective on life than most brehs my age.
If you're arguing my point then why are you pretending this generation is exceptional in any way? You knows its the same as the previous generations, in terms of people, just different circumstances.
I wish I could get a 50k a year factory and job right out of high school and come to work drunk 1/2 the time knowing my house will be paid for in a decade and my kids can pay their college tuition with a summer job :mjlol:

I'm just saying % of slackers now > % of slackers then, from real world experience. You talking about factory jobs when most nikkas nowadays wouldn't get caught dead in a factory job even if it paid 50k.

The whole the "older generations had it easier than us" shyt is just an excuse nikkas make to cover their shortcoming.

The USA economy hasn't hit peak efficiency to the point where their is no more room for people to move up in society.

There still plenty of room to make a way in the USA, and it's not any harder than earlier generations, when you compare the tools we have now compared to the tools the previous generations had.

:pachaha:@ OP saying "stop complaining" when people started to go in on old nikkas. "All you millennials do is complain". nikka YOU MADE THIS THREAD ITSELF JUST TO COMPLAIN. In your first post you were complaining. You think it's ok to say millennials ain't shyt but the moment somebody says old nikkas are no better you want to tell them to STFU

They want "safe spaces" when nowhere on planet earth is a safe space. They feel that ranting on social media, making twitter hashtag movements, and writing long think pieces will actually enact change instead of taking action. They want everyone to like them when that is literally imposssible. They have been coddled too much and cant deal with the real world. Which probably translates into reasoning why we have more adults living at home with their parents than any other generation. They soft.

Europeans, and other Caribbean groups have young adults living at home because of their culture based lifestyle of saving before moving out. Hell, most of my friends who are successful now, we're living at home and stacking major, major $$$ because their families encouraged to do so.

Plus you forgot the cost of living increased nearly 5 times as much since the early 90s. That's absurd and that's why economic depressions keep slamming the first world. In the age of extreme poverty, the non wealthy have to switch up their strategy.

I knew when I graduated back in 2009 when the economy was in the tank, I stayed home and stacked tens of thousands of dollars per year before going out on my own. And thank God for that, cause I got IRAs, huge savings account, and all that that would have been impossible if I was forced out, and could have been stuck permanently.

Different strategies for different people.
