You gotta go through the state...

Don't go through legal zoom, it's a waste of money...I didn't go through legal zoom.

Just google your state and type in LLC *insert state here* and click the .gov...

Put in all your info...select the industry you gonna be in...pay...I paid about 150 or some shyt like that. They'll give you a confirmation email...walah you got an LLC...

All that extra shyt...like a fukking correspondent agent...you don't need...

You don't even need a physical location...

You really just want an LLC just to write shyt off as business expenses...:ehh:

Which is aweeeeeeeeesomeeee :blessed:

Thanks, I may setup an LLC if I start to get like more than $10k or so through my S-Corp. Or do a big partnership. Right now I work with my home boy occasionally but we only declare a certain amount the rest is cash because it's touch and go. Typically under the IRS limits.

you can do a D/B/A for your s-corp.

I got 2 LLCs and a PLLC .. mine are sole-proprietor ... I just get the benefits of using my personal tax returns to file and don't have to deal with quarterly or separate returns

Yeah you don't need an LLC then...you can just chill...

But remember though...if you doing business with another person...you are technically in a partnership....if you do it often...might as well go ahead and make that LLC bruh...

How goes one go about copyrighting written work (i.e screenplays, novels)?

Thanks.

How to Copyright Your Writing for Free

BTW this is the PERFECT month to keep these conversations going... it's January so we have the whole "New Year's Resolution" vibe and we should be getting tax money soon :blessed: make sure you are wise, but let's use each other to springboard toward something great...

as for me... I paid the $2500 fee to become an NFL agent and I'm just waiting on the CBA material to study. It's going to be a long road but I plan on keeping my bros on the coli updated (if you care :mjlol:) I plan on opening my own "Sports Marketing Firm" where I start with small school athletes and help them get to the league and also endorsements... I'm 30...it's time to step it up and build the life I wanna live :wow:

I went to
U.S. Copyright Office

registered and submitted my work in pdfs...

Cost 35 bucks for a single application...

Copyrights are automatically created when you create something and put on paper or computer...

But you gotta remember, you can't copyright an idea...only execution of an idea.

I copyright everything because I deal with producers and other writers...

And when talking to them...they can steal your shyt...

Also...

Every script I write...I plan on converting into books and I publish...

This is for writers...of all types...

Every single script/play you write...please please please please make it into a book...cut it down and make it into a short story...turn the subject matter into an article...anything

The reason why is because you get more producers and etc to look at it...

Publishing your work and getting readers make you marketable...

Most shyt getting turned into movies and TV shows...are market tested...

If you can't get a team together to shoot a webseries and etc..

Best thing is to create a blog and publish your work there...and create an ebook...

How much did everything cost?

Or at least, what was the most expensive thing you had to buy to get started?
