Probably a while ignorant starement but I don't care to hear rap from anyone who hasnt lived in the united states at least 10-15 years.

I have no problem with taking rap influences and creating new music forms though.

As someone who is "African" i see more mimicking of Black america than I see overseas artist being inspired by Black american music.

At the end of the day Black is Black and everything originats with us and we adapt sounds based on what we have around us, its just sonically the sounds dont mesh to me.

So it's funny to me how we diss UK hip-hop specifically cause we "can't get into the Accents" when two of the biggest early hits in Hip-Hop "The show" and "la-di da-di" had a nikka with a British accent on it , and also the GOAT storytelling track "Children's story" had a British accent.

I say this to say MC Ricky D is underrated as HELL.
