When the lil nikka seem like he can read ya mind, throwing check hooks lead rights over your jab, and you get more pissed because you wanna beat his ass but you literally caint
full

You haven’t been humbled till a cat throws a check
Hook that doesn’t hurt but just surprises you but y’all both know you’d be snoring if it wasn’t sparring.

And he’s barely winded while your lungs is on fire.

Agreed on the poster about Mitt work. I def need more work at it, but my accuracy hitting mitts is horrible.

I look great hitting the bag, but unless I'm in a good rhythm, I can look like a fool hitting mitts.

That’s normal. Use mitt work more for your accuracy, foot work, defense, and building your rhythm. Constant mitt work is what actually helped me get my slip game to :whew: .

Ain’t no shame in going 40-50 percent power on those mitts to get your accuracy right. Power is like the least important thing when thinking about mitt work

Y’all cats who are great at heavy bag tend to be guys who can hit hard but struggle at getting decisive blows because defense, foot work, spacing, and angles don’t matter against the bag.

Funny story is that tennis actually prepped me a lot for boxing and boxing is the reason I probably improved so quickly at tennis.

Mitt work so damn annoying. nikkas don’t know how hard it is to hot small targets with proper combinations while using proper footwork when your last good breath was an hour and a half ago.

It’s fun when you energized though.

Definitely. It’s no joke and don’t think you gonna go pro but it’s worth it. Even with like 6 months of legit training, you’re probably better than 85% of people around off of stamina alone.

You’ll prolly wanna quit after the first week tho

I'm pursuing an officer's commission. I figured it would be a good tool to have in the box, to formally train, instead of just around the way scraps how we came up.

Will never use it in battle though

The Truth
I got them genetics, People have always called me big and stocky, whereas most dudes were just skinny. I swear if y'all see my y'all be like look at this Gorrilla ass nikka:picard:. I know size isn't everything, but if I had the technique and speed, that's like the perfect combo. If I fought at 175-190 I think I would've been nasty and my chin would've been good. A George Forman Middle weight with technique and power:whew:

Damn I wish I woulda tried some type of sports:mjcry: I'm thinking up picking up boxing or Muay Thai as a hobby though:jawalrus:
Think that being good at boxing is strictly genetics, brehs:mjlol:

If you fold like a lawn chair when getting hit in the middle or got a jaw made of glass you wouldn’t even survive against even high level amateurs

Did Muay Thai then Western Boxing, my initial problem with the transition were my stances would be irregular and I'd go for a Thai clinch + the years of Jijitsu and Judo threw off my footwork...

Example, I am a right-hand dominant player for Judo, but that is considered Southpaw for Boxing and my stance is often Orthodox...

Mental toughness is what is needed....

I don't know about no beast but I want to get into it for conditioning and hand skills.
Op you are weak and would've been destroyed. I've been boxing 33 years and long ago left behind the physical. When you can punch out a fire with your power, then you will have approached the level of Carbon.
Be Yoda with wrapped hands, brehs.

@patscorpio I just realized Beamons gonna be fighting in Mexico , the home county of the champ. Beamon is gonna have to be convincing to pull of a win there without a KO.
it would be a monster upset if he wins..dude would be the new ruler of super flyweight..there hasn't been a black lineal champ in that division...ever...and too sharp is the only black american fighter to hold a belt there....ill be rooting for your man to pull it off
