- It was MUCH easier than I expected.
- No EVM formula questions.
- a few float questions.
- I took it from home, using the Pearson website. Someone monitors you the whole time using a webcam. You have to take photos of the environment to verify there’s no cheatsheets around. I put my hand over my mouth while thinking over a question...the proctor messaged me tellling me to move my hand.

I took the Udemy prep course. It was only $12 and it included the 35 classroom hours required for the test.

I used the pocket prep and PMI prep apps to run through test questions.

Congrats breh

What field are you in/looking to break in?

Someone once handed me the PMBOK in preparation for the PMP and I was like.. DAMN

I’ve worked for DoD the last 12 years...I’m leaving the government, moving to the private sector. Already have a position lined up in DC, moving in Feb.

Are you a PM for the DoD?

nope. More of a project coordinator in the realm of project management. I’ve basically been doing IT installs and testing on ships all over. You just need to be somewhere in the PM world...whether it’s quality, execution, planning, etc

The pmp requires 3500 hours of PM experience within the last eight years. When you apply for the exam, you have to document each of those applicable hours and show how they apply to the project management methodology. So I had to list 20 some projects I worked in the format of the 49 PM knowledge areas. The application took me like 4 days :wow:

Familiar. No need to explain. The government doesn't do much textbook PM stuff. Mostly driven by directives and legal requirements.

Most gov people don't use MS Project or any PMBOK principles...:dead:.

You probably already know this.

Congrats tho Breh.
