How many points did you think Penny would average with Shaq Nick Anderson and Dennis Scott on the team both who averaged 20 a game before Shaq and Penny got there. Then you talk about the assists when a lot of time Penny was playing the 2 guard spot while Shaw or Skiles was at the point during his first couple of years. But either way if you saw Penny play then you know he was that dude and he could have been out there averaging 25 plus a game if he didn't have all the talent he had with him on the Magic squad. He could do everything on the court on both ends and he was killing cats in the post with that 6'7 height. No way he wouldn't have been an all time great without the injuries cause he was already First Team NBA within his first 3 years and hadn't even touched the peak of his abilities.

Yeah Penny is overrated here. He used to be 7-11 year olds' favorite player (the lil Penny campaign was huge) back then which is probably the age bracket of the majority of coli posters around 95-97.

on the other hand Grant Hill is underrated

If anything I'd say its the opposite. Penny is underrated, Hill overrated.

Just because people mention him a lot and idolize him does not make him overrated. how many players can you name with a better 3-4 year start to their career other than other all time greats?
Yes he gets more credits than he truly deserves which is the definition of being overrated.

You got something against Penny my nikka? :dahell:

I don't think anyone considers Penny an all-timer, we all know his career got cut short due to his knee problems and only saw a short time of his prime :dahell:

At his best, he was a top 10 player in the league and easily a top 5 guard and could have been a HOF but we know how that ended :dahell:

Why you so mad? :dahell:
We didn't even see Penny in his prime, dude started breaking down in his mid 20's
He had Shaq averaging 29, D Scott getting 12-15, Nick the Brick getting 15, Horace getting 12-15 at an era when the game was played at a slower pace than ever
That's the problem with stat geeks. Did OP even see the man play? Forget the numbers, an eye test would tell you the nikka was nice and made it look easy. He wasn't needed to score a lot of points on a consistent basis, but he had little problems in doing so
NBA coaches legit feared him

And who stans Paul Pierce? To the point he's in your avi and you put him in conversations for no reason? :scust:
