Buddy fukked up by trying to jump out of the forklift. They told us in forklift class no matter what happens, stay your ass on the forklift. It's folks' natural instinct to want jump out if shyt goes left, but you reduce the chances of serious injury or death by staying on and literally roll with it.

The seat is somewhat like a roll cage on a race car. There's bars overhead, and the newer ones won't even move unless you have your seatbelt on. Like @Orbital-Fetus said, you GREATLY decrease your chances of getting hurt or killed if you stay inside. If that it, or the load falls on you it's curtains.
