:dahell:

I know that some brehs and brehettes can make good money online (OnlyFans & other shyt) but the way some of you nikkas is talking, you’d think that better opportunities were just showing up on MFer’s front doors w/ a smile and a hug because they sent some good vibes out into the world

she should sue her employer for not paying her minimum wage. not post on social media about how we need to tip her.

restaurants have razor thin margins but thats no excuse to pull some dumb shyt like this

She is lying. They are required to pay minimum wage unless her tips exceed minimum wage. Freeze the video around the 18 second mark. There is line item for Cash Tips that looks like it shows she reported making $700 in cash. That's why the check is low.

I do have a clue about what I posted, but you saying I don’t is a good way to avoid the fact that you have no response to what I said :mjlol: You only call it a diatribe because I used a couple words you aren’t used to seeing :ld:

The cycle continues on because there are millions of ‘cheap labor’ jobs in this economy. Are you really stupid enough to believe that one day all cheap job workers magically go to college and white-collar their problems away?

You tell them to work hard and find a better job, even when they do that, somebody comes behind them and takes that same shytty job. Acting like that cycle doesn’t exist is just you being willfully ignorant.

Never said it didnt exists. If you'd read my last reply, it clearly shows I said this has been going on for decades..

The only thing that would stop this is a boycott of the restaurant industry, or a worker's strike.. And the problem with a worker's strike is that a lot of people will somehow take those jobs you're bytching about now.. :yeshrug: Like they've been doing for decades..

So you're basically just going on a "diatribe" like i said before.. Full of wishful thinking..

Counter point..

How do you feel about people who make a living off tips not paying taxes on said tips, or underreporting?

I know bartenders and waitresses who are against minimum wage even if it was $25/hr, because they make more in tips and they don’t pay nearly the same taxes are someone who earns $25/hr.

And for the record, I tip generously. They love when we show up.

you’re acting like broke waiters are scamming the system like Trump :mjlol:

No, this is not wishful thinking. I’m not talking about some mass boycott of the restaurant industry, I’m not talking about a servers union.

The only thing I’m saying, is to tip well. Because that’s where server’s money comes from. It’s a unique job, and like you just said, we won’t fix the macro problem, so in the meantime let’s show some humanity and tip well. You’re trying to argue against that like you have a personal vendetta against tipping 20%, it’s broke bytch behavior honestly :russ:

Anyone who comes right out against tipping, I just know they don’t have much money. Sure some rich people tip poorly, but they’re quiet about it. People that complain openly and out loud about tipping, I just know that you really need that extra $9 that turns a 10% tip into 20%

Don’t let coli posters fool you, 80% of posters here make 50k or less per year. And the broke ones flock into threads like these to vent their frustrations

You don't have to enter an agreement with a company to understand that if you continue lacing their pockets they aren't changing their business model. If you think the business model has it wrong, don't empower the business(es).

If I took that approach, I wouldn't have a Samsung Galaxy :heh:

You don't see people looking to tip people working in a sweatshop.
