It sucks but if you coming outta pocket and can't get a loan $5 is a good starting point...

A $1500 car is going to be older, so when is the last time the time belt was changed, will it need new tires, is the wiring in the car good, is there a problem with the transmission, does the AC run, etc.
As time passes things start to fall apart or stop working, and all of that shyt can cost more than what you paid for the car. Buyers remorse sets in once you realized you could have just spent that extra $1500 on a $3000 newer car. (Any used car can have those issues, but the older they get the more likely they are going to start happening)
