Don't construe coli opinion with real life. That said, I couldn't tell you if its real out here cause plenty folks "believe" that shyt.
Ask yourself this question: How did you come to believe in God? Did someone have to inform you of his "existence" or did he speak to you directly?
Indoctrination is how most people come to think of a God(not religion, just a God. Pick one.)
It's all good if you have faith, but really, most of the ideals of any sort of organized belief in a deity can be followed without convincing yourself there is a supreme being.
Thats not to say there isn't one, but part of the human psyche is to feel more important in the grand scheme (Jesus died for us, God made us in his image, etc)
Even though I followed religion, Lutheranism specifically, as a kid, I never really "believed" but I enjoyed the way people would speak so highly of this God and how joyful
everyone was on Sunday. Then I saw how they were Monday through Saturday, and hell, the hours after church.
Then I realized that everyone thinks their God is the true God...so either they are right and talking about the same God, or they are wrong and just needed something to kill time.
Part of intellectual reasoning is to try to assign purpose and meaning to things...humans don't know shyt about most things, much less why we are here...and making peace with
that isn't enough for most. Best answer? "God moves in mysterious ways." Easy way to keep you from looking for an answer, or admitting that you are ignorant of the "how" and
"why" of existence and accepting that all that you have is what is in front of you. If there is a hereafter, its a bonus, but statistically speaking, a lot of people are dying and living in
agony, while we praise god for our ability to afford an Iphone this Christmas. The entire thing is fukking stupid if you just give it an ounce of thought.
