i guess it all comes together once you get into it?

i remember zelda as far back as the NES days. i saw the commercials and promos. i always assumed that it was kinda like a mix of magical sword-fighting(for the lack of a better term) and the final fantasy type stuff(altho, it was before final fantasy). i guess i was wrong.

i never played final fantasy either. im scared to even ask about that chit now.

Is "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" worth the 37 bux amazon is asking for it?

I need a reason to turn on my Wii again, even tho I still haven't finished Twilight Princess yet.

and Nah, my ish isn't modded, too lazy to do that shyt, plus its a black wii which makes it harder to mod

Man, fukk SKYWARD SWORD

If you ever liked JRPG's play Xenoblade instead. Easily one of the best games on the Wii and one of the best RPG's I've played in years.

As far as Skyward Sword goes, it's pretty much a mediocre game. I felt the motion controls were completely unnecessary excluding fights and even then I felt very limited. I got kinda frustrated whenever I wanted Link to stab someone he would swing his sword or he would bring out his shield.

The gameplay itself wasn't all that great. More of the same Zelda stuff that I'm beginning to feel is in desperate need of fixing. Temples were forgettable, except the desert area with the time stones that was pretty cool.

The worst of the game tho has to be the fukkING FETCH QUESTS. I thought the spirit realm thing was cool at first but they should have just left it at one. I'm not even going to go into that dumbass tadpole shyt. It mainly felt like Nintendo didn't want to create more areas so they made some bullshyt excuse to go over the same 3 lands.

So yeah, that's my opinion on Skyward Sword. I didn't really enjoy Twilight Princess either. And the recent handheld Zeldas have been trash for me too. I dunno if I'm outgrowing Zelda or the franchise itself is :flabbynsick: status, because I don't seem to have this problem with something like Mario.

well that only applys to the last game, if you havnt played the old ones you owe it to yourself to play them

oot
majoras mask and link to the past are must plays

wind waker got stale near the end and
tp felt like a oot remake only with horrible wolf parts, still good tho

its not that we are outgrowing zelda, its just that nintendo keeps dumbing it down, the series refuses to reinvent itself

skyward sword took out most of what was good about zelda and left a bunch of tacked on bullshyt to tell a story

With most great games you don't even have to play for it to grab your attention - a screen cap, plot story or piece of artwork would suffice. Zelda never did that for me - It always seemed pretty gay to me, no offense. I tried the old SNES game for a few minutes but it reminded me too much of those Pokemon games my little brother use to play so I quit before giving it much of a chance to grow on me.

Someone school me on Zelda. Am I missing out?

nah, if SS was about picking pumkin and catching bugs than OOT is about catching fish and returning chicken ya feel me. those things is tied in to the game very loosely mainly as a way to introduced the side jobs which every zelda game has in order to collect hearts. the side jobs are catch and fetch but you dont have to do side jobs if you dont want to

later in the game you do have to go to each area to find an item that corresponds with another area but that isn't what the game centres on. it mostly was about getting through each area and using the correct item for each area.

if SS was not a zelda game people wouldn't be so hard on it. the game is great to play and interwinds the story well with the gameplay. it just didn't follow the tradional zelda format of exploring the map and interacting with towns people. its funny that people say they want Zelda to try something new instead of the same old thing yet TP and SS are so extremely different from each other but folks still complain.

its not that people hate change its just how those changes are implemented
people want the series to grow, the complaints about changing was more about every zelda game other than majoras mask, being a remake of the one before it.

how many times do we have to save zelda from ganon by collecting the artifacts?, and the awnser to that was to tell how it got that way, but its done in the worst possible way, the story is there now but why does it have to boil down to a fetch quest? not even a important and epic fetch quest, just really stupid and really silly fetch quest.

instead of playing hide and seek, why couldnt we have to save a town?
instead of feed a fish god, why couldnt we have to banish a evil sprit to resurrect the god?
how come they couldnt make link look like a hero instead of a errand boy?
or if they gotta have fetch quest, why do they have to be so silly and pointless?

how come it feels like the world of zelda consist of like 8 people?:comeon:
why does it feel like the lands arnt even part of the same world, just merely obstacles courses set in place as a means to waste time intil you reach a dungeon?
the presentation is just ass breh admit it

A lot of these dudes weren't born when A Link to the Past dropped. It is the best Zelda game of all the games, like ALTTP is Illmatic, but Ocarina (It was Written) impacted more fans, that was the game that made Zelda mainstream.
