We might have to go in this direction, because with all these restrictions in place, it'll be impossible for stuff to get done in just the two days most of us are afforded on the weekends.

Best schedule I ever had was a job I had off on Wednesday and the weekend. Everytime I turned around it felt like a Friday and having a day off mid-week was a game changer.

Current schedule usually has me WFH 2 days a week anyway, so pretty much more of the same.

Never considered this combo :jbhmm:

I envy you guys that work from home, but I'm sure it would get old eventually

No, it never gets old not having to get dressed, drive or commute to work during rush hour, interact with people you don't like, and return home to just an hour or two of free time before hitting the bed to prepare for a repeat the next day.

The ideal would be going into the office 2-3 days a week
This. I’d like to go to the office for two Days out of the week. But working from home has been great :wow:

I wake up 5 min before 8, do my 1-2 for about an hour, then I’m on a couch watching a Martin and going out for takeout until I need to check my email.

My job makes it so I have to go out, but working from home has been fun. I ain't been home this much in a long time, so now I'm watching all these old ass shows during the day, catching up on music I fell behind on. My house has never been cleaner. My fridge is forever stocked. There are perks to this working from home shyt.

Where it gets kinda weird is when I don't have to work and then you're just stuck. My work life and my regular life are basically one in the same now.

A lot of brehs better hope they dont push this remote work from home shyt. A LOT of jobs will be getting outsourced and/or automated.
:francis:Yeah you right man. Luckily my clients accounts have to be administered in the US, so I’d probably be safe. But I’m sure management everywhere has the :patrice: Face now.

Not really. Its 2020, for tech, account management, other related fields, work flexibility is what workers want and the companies have to meet that need to appeal to the best candidates. This corona situation is just forcing companies stuck on the 1990’s model of work to adapt to what those who were ahead of the curve have already been doing.

I mean in I.T. there were a lot of jobs that were "outsourced" to H-1B's living here, including where i work. They all got the ax, including 99% of contractors. Working from home wont make it worse. It seems like now it ebbs and flows with them. I.T. MD/VP wants to save money and look good, so they let go most/all employees and outsource the jobs. But after months and/or years of fukkups by the "engineers" of the outsourcing company they get rid of them and get Americans, or at least skilled immigrants. And the VP who caused the whole thing is at another company with better pay after showing they can "cut costs".

Automation is happening regardless of this or not, and depending on your job it will be sooner or later.
