I'm not a huge fan of Travis Scott, even though I do have his album, but what exactly makes Young Thug "unique"? I hear and see that alot, yet when I listen to the music, all I hear are pretty good beats that are wasted on a guy who just sounds like a bad sing-songy Lil Wayne offspring, and not even the early Wayne, but the garbage Wayne that did nothing but have trash punchlines about shytting in toilets and eating p*ssy.
Travis Scott is a very plain basic rapper, but has some really dope production, so it works. He's really just an interchangeable voice over very good beats, but at least not an awful voice like Young Thug. If Young Thug is unique, then so is Desiigner.

different fanbases ...i had no fukking clue who travis scott was till antidote blew...like I knew the name, but couldn't name a song or mixtape . ..thug has more traditional atl trap rap scene roots, and admittedly has seemed to have had his career mishandled . ..too many fragmented launches ...i have no idea what, if any, of these random releases is supposed to be his proper debut ...they dont seem to be building towards anything, just disposable mixtapes

You gotta listen harder if you don't think Young is unique. I was once like you, I wouldn't even want to listen to Young Thug because I thought it was a joke. The fact that you even thought about mentioning him with Desiigner is proof that it hasn't hit you yet. Keep listening, it will hit you.
He is THE musical genius of this era for hip hop.
Of course he's unique, name another rapper that makes music thats both catchy and incoherent.

I never heard one Travis Scott song that I like.... his beats, and songs are overdone, and over produced, sounds forced not genuine.
Thug music sounds like he coulda done 99% of his verses on 1 take, thats creativity...and some of his verses be amazing the change in voice, melody, and flow be so random.Not to mention the beats.... and Thug voice becomes apart of the beat.
Travis scott just got that Kanye backing and more white fans....
Plus 300/Lyor Cohen ruined Thugs image with the Gay gimmicks..... Sadly Thug does/says everything those JEWS tell him.

I believe this, as his verses mostly sound like incoherent squealing trash. I bet Rich Homie Quan does his verses in one take as well.
And the amount of excuses people have for him is
y'all really are a Task Force. If the people that backed him were as supportive as y'all, maybe he could get a legitimate album release instead of a retail mixtape.

I feel like they are 2 completely different artists. Travis I feel tries his very hardest to create a song Thug can do effortlessly. Hence why Travis can come off as "fake artsy". Antidote was Travis hit and in that song he is biting Swae Lee. When Thug said he can create a song in like minutes or however short period of time I believe him. That being said, I don't think Thug can make a song like Quintana or Drugs you should try it. And Travis no matter how hard he tries can't make a song like Memo, Digits, even an old Thug song like Some More. I can listen to both and enjoy and can play their songs like 5 times in a row and not get tired tho. And they stay tryna give Thug an image instead of just letting him be himself. Fans see through that, it's all about being genuine.
