One appeals to cacs who buy music.

The other makes street music but street artists never sell cuz they got an audience that doesn't believe in buying music.

It's basic logic if the King of Trap Gucci can't sell past 100k then his underlings won't so any better. Aim higher and stop trying to be relevant to an audience that doesn't support with their dollars

1) Signed to GOOD music
2) Kanye-like personality that strikes the nerve of people, both good and bad
3) Makes tangible music that actually strikes a chord with people to listen to, and not just aimlessly streaming it while they're vacuuming.
4) The momentum from those first 3 allowed him to out a properly finished project out for legit retail, and not a delayed mixtape rushed out for sale to capitalize on fake buzz.

I'm not a Travis $cott fan, but from what I see he actually builds anticipation from his projects from the singles down to the mixtapes/album. Plus he gets radio play on Pop stations and that makes a huge difference

Aim higher:mjpls:?

Meek,Kevin Gates,Boosie and Future did just fine.

I guess by "aim higher" you mean make wack ass music that appeals to cacs who will buy any ol nonsense, but you will he forgotten in about a year, and will still flop by normal standards:mjlol:

Name all these street rappers who should be selling more records that the streets just aint supporting but should?u couldnt use Kendrick or J Cole as an example, had to go straight to proppin up being a weirdo and appealing to cacs as the answer:scust:

I feel like they are 2 completely different artists. Travis I feel tries his very hardest to create a song Thug can do effortlessly. Hence why Travis can come off as "fake artsy". Antidote was Travis hit and in that song he is biting Swae Lee. When Thug said he can create a song in like minutes or however short period of time I believe him. That being said, I don't think Thug can make a song like Quintana or Drugs you should try it. And Travis no matter how hard he tries can't make a song like Memo, Digits, even an old Thug song like Some More. I can listen to both and enjoy and can play their songs like 5 times in a row and not get tired tho. And they stay tryna give Thug an image instead of just letting him be himself. Fans see through that, it's all about being genuine.
Spot on with all this
