Young Thug will never be bigger than what he is because he is a "hood" mixtape artist. Yes hype beasts love him too but he really hasn't been regularly exposed to more like Travis Had.

True industry plant. Before Owls Pharaoh dropped he was performing songs at major festivals. His hype and exposure was multiplied when Yay signed him on as producer. Because of his Good music and Roc nation affiliation it has opened more doors and has given him more exposure. His fan base is more diverse. Eventhough he is signed to grand hustle as a rapper that Ye and Jay cosign has done wonders.

Youtube their shows and you would see the difference in their fan bases. Thug has more of a hood and female base while Travis has more of a hypbeast white kid fan bases. So you decide who will purchase more music? That's answer.

I wouldn't say so much as an industry plant, but that Travis knew how to snake himself into the industry more so. I mean guy had "Co-production" on Magna Carta before anyone really knew who Travis was. I say "Co-production" because all he would do was take WondaGurl's beats and add like a filter to make it seem "dark" lmao. And I love Travis but there are many more instances and rumors of him being an a$$hole and being a snake and shyt so idk

Kevin Gates has cross over appeal as does everyone else you named they are not purely street artists. Boosie is also hitting that same glass ceiling most street artists do he hadn't crossed over despite being hugely respected in the hood. Future had shyt like Pluto and the Drake collabo and his style is more mainstream than thugga. Young thug ain't hitting like that besides the coli where people claim he's unlocking flows

Now there's a huge difference between what Travis and people like Kendrick and Cole sell. They are not selling off hits but building a solid following and fanbase. They don't make throaway music and their fans come for the substance. That's the difference between 100k and 1mill at this point. Being generic garners generic results. Being exceptional gets you over the top. That's aiming higher...
