Games have been like the same price for decades. They're a great deal. I spent $60 on MGSV, for example, and got 150 hours of enjoyment. That's 75 movies. If a movie is $10 a pop, that's $750. Gaming is a great deal, even with dlc.

In all reality, games should be like $80-$100 if you consider inflation...maybe more.

I just think nikkas complain too much. Without any real history references. People wanna have their cake and eat it too. Like. They expected these consoles to be as powerful as a top notch gaming PC. But didn't want them to cost over 399.99. I think the price of these consoles for the things they can do is fukkin phenomenal honestly. U pay more money for a fukkin cell phone..

you didn't have to worry about connecting to no type of network. If you wanted to play against someone else you would invite a friend over or go to their crib. you didn't watch movies or do other random shyt like that. More importantly.... it wasn't a major investment.

imagine what you could do with 400-500 dollars plus 50 for an extra controller and another 60-120 for 1, 2 games

60 in 15 gives me a game i beat in 2 hours.. before i'm asked to pay another 100 in DLC for added levels

its like this.. food prices havent changed but if you pay attention you see the sizes did.. they change the shape of the bottles etc and figured you wouldnt notice.. I rememeber when the 20oz sodas were 16oz with 4 free .. then they started charging for it after a year..

Tropicana OJ used to be 64 oz now its 48...

I'm not knocking the online gaming scene but fukk paying over 500 bucks for a video game system. And player with other people in person is way better. But that's just me. Technology is has connected the world globally but has disconnected the world on a local level.

It's still not a major investment but I hear you on the "plug and play" aspect of consoles prior.
Unfortunately that's the price we pay for more complex more immersive games.
Just be glad that you don't have the patience of a child anymore. X-mas morning must be with all the downloading patches and updates and creating accounts and shyt that you have to go through nowadays.

Did you read the article I posted?

DLC is optional, and even if you add the cost games are still cheaper. 60 for the base and 20 for the season pass is still cheaper than the $100 it used to cost for N64 games.

What N64 game cost $100

The real problems with the video games is that we're getting older..

When I had a NES and SNES .. it was mom can you buy me (insert $60 game here) .. wasnt my money .. I didnt care..
Now PS1 and 2 and 3 .. its .. let me check my budget.. My money

ITS NOT less quality. its higher quality graphics/audio by far. higher quality AI by far. the reason you're finishing these games in 2 hours is because they put all their time in the LOOK of the game vs the long drawn out storyline or a 1000 boards that are really the same board with a slightly different background. its not hard making super mario or zelda take up 200 hours from back in the day. they look like crap and the board is virtually the same thing with a few tweeks in color and what not.

lastly, all of you are now game cheaters. i mean when they use to have those magazines that only a select few people would pick up or have a subscription for. and they would have maps and how to's, and even some cheats. or your friend may have found a cheat or two. well now everyone knows how to cheat the game and finish faster because all the info is on line. and EVERYONE is going on line to look.

no online gaming stuff like that. it would mean it could take you 10 seasons to get all of your badges that you wanted. you would get them as you went along with zero help.

Higher quality graphics is not a higher quality game just like a 300mil cgi movie is not necessarily better than a 15mil movie using miniatures and sets and scaled models..
And no my friend.. I am no cheater... i hate when my kids go on youtube for hints.. i always tell then try for at least 3 days before they check.. and usually they figure it out beforehand
