You bought the console. you bought the game, you plugged everything up. you put the game in and you started playing. the most you would have to do is by a memory card or some shyt like that.

you didn't have to worry about connecting to no type of network. If you wanted to play against someone else you would invite a friend over or go to their crib. you didn't watch movies or do other random shyt like that. More importantly.... it wasn't a major investment.

agree with most of what you said but the bolded....you know how much of my savings when I was 10 would go towards a video game? like 40%....but I def see your point. We also played alot less games back then. If you had a game, that was the game you played till it was beat. These days I seem to get about 60-75% done with a game before I buy my next and dont finish nearly as many. (how many of you had a backlog in your early teens?)
Recently ive been having friends come over and Ill go over there place to game. Thats how we decided this gens console choices. My buddy got a 1, I got a 4, so we both and have a great time just hanging out, drink some beers and game with a few of our other friends.

I think it was goldeneye on n64 kept getting delayed because it wasnt glitch free. Think it came out close to a year after the inital release date...now adays they would just release the shyt like tony hawk 5 full of glitches and hope to fix them later.

And this is the one that kills me the most

Now we got paper towels that already has downy soap in it so all you have to do is just wet it? What the fukk man? Why cant I just get regular Brawny paper towels?

when the game would slow down so we can think and maneuver...

Higher quality graphics is not a higher quality game just like a 300mil cgi movie is not necessarily better than a 15mil movie using miniatures and sets and scaled models..
And no my friend.. I am no cheater... i hate when my kids go on youtube for hints.. i always tell then try for at least 3 days before they check.. and usually they figure it out beforehand
