YES I KNOW... That's like rule #1 of things you shouldn't do, but let me explain exactly how it happened.

We broke up on June last year after we realised that we couldn't be together because we wanted different things from life at the moment BUT we kept the communication through fb and email (I live in DR and he lives... well... everywhere. He travels a lot).

A few months back we started talking almost every day and one day he mentioned that he was coming back to DR to visit me. I said ok since I wanted to see him too.
So the next thing he had rented an Airbnb and asked me if I could check him in at the place and get the keys since he would arrive at midnight. So that's what I did.

I was a little nervous thinking about how much we've both changed since the last time we met but decided to just brush it off, put on my "brave girl" boots and pick him up at the airport.

When I first saw him I automatically hugged him and I didn't feel nervous anymore... Took him to his apt, helped him get settled and left.

We saw each other twice during the week since we both had to work and the following weekend I had to travel outside of the city. I thought I would be back on Sunday but I came back on Saturday night instead.

When I arrived home that night I immediately texted him and asked how he was doing and if he wanted us to meet.
I fell asleep with my phone on my hands tired as hell because of all the shyt I had to do that day.

The next day (Sunday) I texted him Hello to see if we could hang out. I sent a couple of messages saying that I was going to his house so we could spend the day together.

I wasn't sure at the moment if he had received the messages because my phone ran out of internet. (YES That's a normal thing here).

I decided to just go and pay him a visit... WRONG

When I got there I wasn't so sure of my idea so I managed to connect to wifi and messaged him to let him know I was at his front door.
When I first texted him he didn't answer, so I called his phone and it sent me str8 to the vm, immediately he replied my text saying "No calls, just text"...

I was like... Okay... Weird... And texted him back asking him to open the door, he said he didn't believe I was there so I knocked. Then he texted me again saying "That was a bad idea... "

At this point my heart was beating super fast and I got super nervous because I didn't understand wtf was going on.
I waited for him to open the door and when he finally did he just half-opened and said:
" Cinnamon, you are not allowed to come here unannounced "


Right in the feels...

He didn't let me in and he didn't even open the door completely so I couldn't see the inside of the apt.
So I left...

I honestly think he had some girl in there from the night before because he didn't know I would just show up like that. I soo blown and upset about the situation that I just sent him to hell and didn't talk to him for days...

NOW These are my questions:

Do you think (based on EVERYTHING that I just explained) that I was wrong by showing up like that?

Do you think maybe his reaction was just uncalled for?

Was I wrong for thinking that he had some bytch in there?

Do you think maybe the fact that he flew here supposedly just to visit me was enough reason for me to think I could show up like that??
