Since you two weren't official at the time why didn't you simply say this (in addition to her not being responsive in a timely fashion when you reached out) to her instead of moving like you had a chick hemmed up on the headboard?
i.e. - No call just text, sending her call to VM, peeking out the door, etc.

Cultural question - When you are official with a woman is it ok for her to show up unannounced?
