So I got a call back from the mechanic shop

Said I need a new radiator, some hoses and cabin filter. And told me it's $866

Then did an oil change without me knowing and added it on and said it's now $927 total

Told him don't touch anything, and I'm not doing the repairs, and I'm getting my car back :camby:

I mean, it was what YOU think it is. He wpuld still have to diagnose it

Honestly… both of yall sounded like y’all didn’t know wtf yall talking about. Your entire car shuts down after you turn the A/C on and you think it’s a leak :francis:
Isn't that like a alternator situation??

Any type of vibration and stalling while in idle is usually a problem with the air flow.

Usually you'll have battery issues when the alternator is bad.

When I pull in with the BMW the mechanics already know they about to hit a lick.

Finding a good mechanic and sticking with them is like finding a good barber and mother fukk a dealership
BMW mechanic shops are the worst.

Let's keep it a buck. Most coli folk are not high value men.

WE buy used BMW.

I feel bad for all those fake bougie long Island mafia girls who listen to hip hop and look up to these femalw rappers.

These be frustrated because they can't cover the mortgage and car notes.

A 2005 civic when taken care of is one of the most reliable vehicles. If you mad now wait til you get your Cadillac :mjlol:

you say coolant leak but that seems odd. Have you had to add any? Any leaks on the ground/on hoses? Checking the oil to make sure there’s no coolant in there? (That’s a major issue if so but likely not the case)

When the AC is turned on is it actually cold? Has refrigerant been checked/balanced? Are the radiator fans all moving like they should? Engine mounts aren’t cracked?

I’ve worked on several civics. Usually it’s the AC relay. Cheap fix if so…….maybe the compressor. Either way find a mechanic that ain’t on that bs. There’s plenty of honest mechanics out there. Stay away from franchise ones…….good mom n pop shop……

Ok I saw a Cadillac on craigslist. Low price, looks great, but the person in the ad said it needs a new catalytic converter

Do you think it's a good idea to buy it? :lupe:

So you on a budget and tryna shame or force the mechanic to repair the vehicle on what you think needs to be done. Why did you even bring it to the shop. Most likely it's not a coolant leak or a hose. You might have a compressor issue.

I don't hate you, but I hate muthafukkas that pull up to the shop and got all these directions on what we need to do to fix the car and don't know shyt outside of 5 minute google research
Imagine how Physicians feel

I have to mentally prepare myself for 2-3 days to go to the car shop or dealership for maintenance. I can count on one hand the number of times I went in for a simple oil change and wasn't told my brakes/tires were worn out, my battery was weak, a gasket was leaking, etc. Going in for a $60 job and being quoted $500-$1200 in work has given me PTSD. And this is my legit shop. Dude running it never lies to me; cars are just always breaking down somewhere or other. Today it's the radiator, in a year it's the alternator, in another year the power steering pump. I'm determined to get rich just to not have to deal with car issues ever again. :russ:
