why can't u live in jersey? isn't the cost of living reasonable over there, yet you're still close enough to the city to take public transportation whenever u want?

I lived with roommates for 5 almost 6 yrs, I stayed there the longest while other roommates came and went so I had variety of experiences. some people are great, some people are wack as fukk...all matters who you get really. I had 2 roommates (and one guy that lived in the back house) who were like my best friends. we chilled damn near every day while still giving each other space, everyone had respect and cleaned up after themselves, if someone borrowed something is was replaced the same or next day, then 1 left and some bytch ass cac and his cat moved in. this nikka was filthy and fukked the whole vibe of the house up. I was gone shortly after.living alone =
I remember leaving my mommas crib and getting a spot down town......It was lonely for the first few months because I didn't really know anyone but eventually I got used it to it. Id always ask my homies to come over but they lived in the old neighbourhood relatively far away. I started meeting other people my age living down town and found a new social scene, it pretty much became a 2nd childhood with a new adventure every day. There is nothing like having your own space where you can literally shut the world out. The extra p*ssy you will get is just a plus.
Only advice I can give you is to buy groceries and not to eat out everyday. You don't really need cable or a home phone, just internet.
Is it worth it?
Did it break your pockets?
Did you furnish it right away or later?
I need ny own place, but I dont wanna overdo it and struggle...bc I love to travel and go ham on weekends.
Before we talk about moving out... What are your plans for the near future.
Are you working a job that will get you somewhere?
Are you going to school?
OR Are you moving solely to have freedom?
Honestly, if you are in school, stay home. No need to struggle if you dont have to.
Stack your bread and try to get your sh** together for your future.
Freedom, Women, walking around naked, whatever... will be so much better if you can really afford to do it.
Live like a boss when you are really a boss.![]()

shyts almost impossible for a young nikka in NYC to move out without a real decent job. rents here start at 1k for studios and 1 bedrooms in the slums. im trying to stack to move the fukk out but this shyt almost seems impossible and im exstremely low maintenance i know how to survive on 200 a month
for those living on they own in NYC how much did ya make before ya felt comfortable moving out?
My first spot was a townhouse in the ATL area (Stone Mountain). Paid about $800 a month total (rent, utilities, internet, and Dish).
If you can find something in your budget that works, it's totally worth it. Going from having to deal with roommates in the apartment I had back in college and dealing with the bullshyt that comes with that (nikkas being late with bread, not doing dishes, arguing with they chicks, etc) to having my own spot was a monumental transition, mainly because you set your own rules and agenda. Plus on the chick side, there is nothing like having your own spot.
The main thing is making your budget and sticking to it. Not just making sure you got enough for rent and utilities, but also food costs, gas money, and the other essentials. I've seen cats who moved into their first spot after only living with their parents and just go on wyle out mode, blow their rent money at the bar and/or the club, on weed, on stunting, or on some chick, and end up ass out making them "Help a nikka out" calls to they friends and family once the 1st rolls around.
As long as you take your time picking a good spot (neighborhood, neighbors, proximity to work and where you like to hang, etc) and it's within your means, getting your first spot is one of those moments in your life that you always remember and appreciate.
I still remember the first bytch I kicked out of my spot. Ah, memories.![]()
I bought a house when I was 24. Had a lot of doe...kinda rushed and bought a crib. My bills are high...mortgage at $1650 plus other shyt. I'm living in this big
ass house alone now. I wish I bought a condo or something smaller, but and this is the biggest plus. Is when I bring a chick over or if I'm gonna go on a date
with a chick I'll say let's meet at my place and I'll drive. They see the house, invite em in for a sec...brush it off like its nothing and they like..
this your house
yup
and you live by yourself
yup
:nice:
and just like that, if a chick was just a lil bit into you, she def feeling me now!
Cuz bottom line, bytches love a guy whose on his own and if they think you got money, its a wrap.
But I would recommend if you have the opportunity to save money...save as much as you can...keep saving. Get a place when you feel you have plenty of dough stacked, not when someone else tells you should.
