if its your first time I'd say get a roommate, someone you trust who is also looking to get out on their own

I already had roommates since 2010.
And how much should I save up?
Should I save up enough to cop furniture and everything? Or just get there and shop weekly or bi-weekly![]()
why do people always say this? I'm a single parent NOT living on government assistance, and pay $700 in a rent stabilized building.
You just don't know where to look.
the most important thing to get is a bed. trust me, the air mattress won't get it done. get you a bed with nice firm mattress. then go to ikea or a low cost furniture shop and cop you a cheap sofa. get a tv for the living room for entertainment. when you get your tax return back, get the rest of the furniture. your living room set, your bedroom set and kitchen set
OK
also--what type of spots are best? near the bar scene? downtown?
complexes? duplex type spots?
why can't u live in jersey? isn't the cost of living reasonable over there, yet you're still close enough to the city to take public transportation whenever u want?
Great advice in here
So, should I aim for downtown area? Studio or one bedroom?
Complex or house type spot?
Imma just save and save and I really do hate roommates lol
trust me....
If you got a wack ass job.
Complex,..all day!!
Anyway,...nuffin beats living on your own.
I had a white female roommate, who was not in any way shape or form.
Someone I was intimate with.
Plus she was never there and was from a well to do family.
Who only had the apartment because her family, would not let her have a bf.
So she got the apartment to have a bf, and stay at his place.
She was never at the apartment we shared so it was like I lived alone.
Only problem was when she did fall through.
She was nasty and messy as fukk.
Side note: she was a welterweight gold gloves champion.
anyway,..the decade long streak started living at said apartment.
I also,...had the second love of my life in that apartment.
I say move out if you have a good job and a car, already.
If you do not have a good job and a car.
I feel for you,...
