That's easy; you'd turn an institution, as Hollywood (that's supposed to be the "land of promise/dreams" or whatever), on it's head if ppl were able to believe a normally functioning person turned down $50 million.

Yep, I agree w/ T/S, that's basically why he left the show, I respect Dave a lot for speaking the real and turning down 50 mil. I mean, even today he'd be able to start another "Chappelle Show", it seems like he just cool w/ not being in the limelight and wanna do him. Can't hate

Some of those skits are just downright wrong imo.... Racist white people laugh at them and think it's okay because a black dude wrote the skit. I don't think that was Dave's intention.

Clayton Bigsby sketch is pretty straightforward to me. Ask the question why a black white supremacist is any less ridiculous than a white white supremacist. Lot of his other racially focused sketches are the same.

On SOHH any black person who isn't angry with or suspicious of all white people is a c00n. So the whole thing is ridiculous.

I was never on SOHH, so I have no connections with former thread topics. For me it has everything to do with controlling our image and since in the 2013 we have failed to do so, I don't think it's appropriate for comedies like Dave Chappelle show. Same way I feel about the Boondocks.

It's satirical. I get all of that, but white people don't know any better. Other people look at you as a unicorn if you didn't/don't enjoy those shows.

Every nikka that has a respectable 9 to 5 plays the c00n to some degree, whether he wants to admit or not.

It could be as simple as laughing at a white person's joke that wasn't funny, going to a white social when you really didn't want to, agreeing with a superior who was white knowing that he or she was dead wrong, etc, etc, etc…

This is a white world and we all c00n at one point or another to get what we want financially. Its just the way shyt is...

Its amusing because people feel the need to be revolutionary and pro black when its someone else benefiting from so called "c00nery" but these are the same people who would sell their souls for a semblance of success. The nature of the beast is white people run the world, white people run media if you want to be in their club and they let you in they expect you to play by their rules, simple as that.
Its easy to say "i'll keep it real and be true to myself and my people" when you haven't tasted fame/success, its another thing when the same people who gave you that success ask you to do something that might compromise your belief system and then threaten to take away that fame/success.​
