Maybe he was just a bad fit in SA :yeshrug:
Pop was holding him back. :yeshrug:

He was beginning to expand his range in Toronto, and then it was cut right back when he went to SA. His game suffered because there typically wasn't enough floor spacing in the starting lineups, which reduced the room he had to operate in. It's no surprise playing alongside Lonzo, Zach and Vuc, who all stretch the floor, that he's able to get to his spots more easily. That didn't happen in SA the same.
Lol DeRozan is shooting three 3s in chicago....hes still mostly FTs and midrange
It's the fact that he's actually shooting them now.

I don't know if you watched him in SA, but he purposefully didn't even attempt them, at all.

He's been WAY better than I imagined...kinda like Julius Randle was last season. I've been dead wrong about the signing so far but I'm still skeptical in the long run...just like Randle.

This is the best he's ever played in his career.
nikka DeMar is a 4x all star type shyt and you comparing him to bum ass Randle:laff:, ain’t shyt to be skeptical about especially considering there is 2 other all stars on the Bulls

DeRozan is actually only attempting 2 threes in chicago
He shot 1 a game in SA

Wow....1 extra attempt.....damn that is so drastic, he basically has Duncan Robinsons shot chart now:ohhh:

:stopitslime:
His last season in Toronto - 3.6 threes per game
His time in SA (three seasons) - 0.7 threes per game
This season in Chicago - 2.2 threes game.

It was a shot he started working into his game when he was in Toronto, and then Pop/Spurs cut it right out. Over those three seasons that he was in SA, the Spurs' starting lineups had the worst spacing in the league (I've documented it in this thread), and that was because they attempted the fewest threes, as it wasn't a shot they prioritized like the rest of the league did. This 180 not only stunted his own growth in the process of expanding his range, but it shrunk the floor in the lineups he was in because there wasn't adequate enough spacing, which in turn, made it harder to get to his spots.

Now, this season he's playing in [starting] lineups which prioritize the shot, which is why he's starting to work it back into his game, and why there is proper spacing now to get to his spots, which comes as no surprise he's having one of his best seasons in a long time.

All of this shyt is what I've been saying throughout this thread and DeRozan's revival is one of many, many points that continues to prove me correct.

Spurs just lost to a 5-28 Pistons team, who're missing almost their entire main rotation.

No Cade
No Grant
No Hayes
No Lyles
No Olynyk
No Stewart
No Jackson (both of them)
No Lee
No Joseph.

They literally lost to a G-League team.

What a night to kick off 2022. This thread is Rafters status. @Houston911

- Spurs lost to the Pistons playing their G-League players
- DeRozan hits [another] game-winning 3.

I couldn't be more right if I tried.

:wow:

not really because the premise of this thread was about the Spurs not shooting 3’s which they did tonight. Seems like you expanding your reasoning for this thread to take a jab at the Spurs anytime they lose. This post kinda is goal post moving

Let me ask you a simple question:

Were folks listening to my actual argument from the start, or were they uppin this thread whenever they could without any regards to context just to try and get a W over me?
