Lupe is the real boogeyman of rap, that they claim Kendrick is. NO ONE mentions Lupe in terms of battling because they know his pen game is insane.

Although...

Looking back at his battle with Royce, Lupe didn't destroy him like the internet forums made it seem. Mickey won that battle. Factz diss track on Royce > Lupes. Easily.

Meaning that I don't think he's this battle god that people make him seem. There's a lot of lyrical aliens out there but that doesn't mean they can construct any type of song (ex. 95% of battle rappers).

Lu has already admitted that he's better than Kendrick lyrically but Kendrick makes better music. I also lokey think Kendrick is well aware of Lupes feelings and has been trolling him (Kung Fu Kenny, Damn collectors edition that could be played backwards when T&Y had the same concept, all the stars single cover, etc).

Despite all that, I think it'll never lead to anything because they have a common friend and collaborator in Ab-Soul and Lupe recently shouted out GNX.

It's not that it's bad. It's pretentious dog shyt. Lupe is nowhere near the writer that Kendrick is. He's extremely one dimensional. Which is why he makes his lyrics as confusing as possible so he doesn't have to connect the dots on anything he writes. Ambiguous writing like that has never been praised in any writing field and it shouldn't be praised in rap. I highly doubt Lupe could even explain what that verse means. Cause like I said. It's pretentious dog shyt with zero substance behind it.

He clearly called Kendrick to the floor on there. As well as a bunch of other trolling he's done. Kendrick just don’t want that smoke. And I don’t blame him. It’s the right decision to duck it. Royce also ain’t want the smoke, neither did Mod Def. Lupe is what Eminem fans think he is. Lupe is truly the guy nobody wants it with.

Let's be real. Kendrick is never gonna go toe to toe with anyone with any real cultural respect. He's also not gonna engage in conflict with anyone from the "environment". Drake was low hanging fruit because all of his flaws and weaknesses were so public. And he's the poster boy for anti culture.

When J Cole jabs at him, he's "too paranoid for a threat". But he's ignored blatant disses from Jay Elec, Lupe, Joey Bada$$, 21Savage, Lil Baby etc.

At the end of the day, unless you're a bi-racial from the suburbs he has nothing to gain and everything to lose with engaging at this point.
