Like I been dealing with computers all of my life and for the past decades I dealt with bullshyt from getting shortchanged by a nonprofit organization to growing to hate computers while working at Best Buy. I still love technology and embrace the skills of IT, but I'm in this weird slump where I don't know what to do

I enjoy reading and researching so I lurk other forums that speak on tech and etc. I think i might have adhd. I have studied and taken notes for Comptia A+ and Sec+ via YouTube and Udemy but never finished them. Also let vices get in the way; gaming, alcohol, blunts and thots.

Also I was in school but dropped out to take care of my dad who I thought was going to die. I didn’t want that regret of missing out on his last moments. He’s still alive but he’s fukked. Not crippled but probably will be gone in under 15 years. So many health issues he can’t even work anymore. Don’t live with him.

Having adhd can be a good thing. U probably have the propensity to conjure up multiple ideas at once. And Contrary to popular belief, it’s actually ok to hop from one idea/project to the next. As long as each project is a hobby u enjoy. Before long u could create a masterpiece composed of multiple pieces u didn’t know were puzzles.
point here is, get back into tech and stop wasting ur life away on those other endeavors.
Idk how I would get adderall as an adult. I did buy the official comptia sec+ study guide last month so I have no more excuses.

On the real, I really want to get deep into writing. During the pandemic, I actually created a blog that damn near had 300 followers. Writing is so relaxing to a marsupial and it helps with my creativity. I can easily write a poem and a story in a instant, than anything else.

MacOS Terminal shyts on anything Microsoft will ever ever build. Simply due to the fact that Mac OS has UNIX/LINUX underpinnings.
A MacBook Pro is a dev ops dream machine. I can have a full dev environment in my language of choice running natively on Mac OS in 15 min out of the box. Without ever opening a web browser.
It’s going to take a hell of a lot longer than that on a Windows machine. Hence every Silicon Valley company worth its salt having the MacBook Pro as standard hardware for developers and only non devs get a choice. Let’s not even get into other areas like the power of Apple Script or out of the box security.
Windows being for power users and MacOS being a toy is one of the greatest lies ever told. Started by cacs who consider downloading pirated games and running key gens to be “power”.
