Go away chick, the industry you wanted to be in is sex sells, go do mormon gospel yodeling songs where you dress like a nun and put landscape photos as your album covers.

We went to high school together. Bruhs were definitely trying to smash. I could see them saying she wouldn't be a sex symbol but dudes were definitely checking for her.
What was she like in high school

Her posture is irking the hell outta me

Anyway, she putting too much on it. Nivea was cool, I even bought one of her albums :heh: but she wasn’t nothing special, not an artist that you’d imagine really popping off and being longstanding. She had her few hits and a decent lil career, plus two (well maybe 1.5) paid baby daddies....I call it a decent outcome. Chicks like Keri Hilton sitting around with a burnt out career and no rich baby daddies :russ:

On another note, the okay remix is one of my favorite songs of all time, shyt was/is so hard :banderas:

well what's TINASHE problem?
:patrice:

Cause everyone wants to funk her including the byatches

Just goes to show how stupid labels are,and the fact they don't actually know females.
Being too pretty, and even worst, too pretty AND lightskin can hurt you in RNB.
It's a fine line between women finding you attractive and wanting to be you.
Vs women hating you,and both women and men thinking "she think she the shyt, shes overated, and only got where she's at because she's pretty and lightskin".
The thin line is whether or not women relate to your story, and find you relateable as a person,or got to watch you come from the bottom and really grind.
Keyshia Cole=relateable red bone,Tinashe is not a relateable redbone to black women at large, through her music or personality.Women ain't just rooting for any ol pretty lightskin chick. Why?because alot of the times "shes overated, and only got where she's at because she's pretty and lightskin" is very accurate more times than not.
But its a shame for the lightskin women who that is not the case for. But the labels created this problem for women in the industry. Its almost like being a white rapper, you had to go through a little more to prove yourself to the fans that mattered{black male fans}. Not sure why labels think black men are important as a demographic in female rnb or hiphop though, explains the horrible talent pool over the years in both,as image became more important.

She was actually good looking back then to me but she some what fell off. She got older and wider but that's life lol.

She's not the first to hear that, she won't be the last.

It's why Jean grae can rap circles around all these rap chicks and no one knows who she is
Jean Grae got a nice body, I would smash even though I don't like tatted out women.

She seems cool as well though she tried to diss the gawd(me) on twitter. Came off pretentious to me.

Her music is too generic. You could look great but if the music ain't good then you ain't good.

Even Jhene Aiko had good music when she first came out though her latest album was kinda ehh.
