Y'all be talking out of your necks about artists you don't personally like
I don’t dislike big Sean, it’s just super easy to troll his delusional fans on this board. And please tell me where I’m talking out my ass? Record sales are comprised of album sales, singles as a lead, singles as a feature, digital downloads and music videos. So no, even if he had 8 double plat albums, that wouldn’t equal 185M records sold :comeon:

Travis is a white boy artist who is the blueprint for someone like cardi to go the punk rappper thing. No one is denying he’s popular but Travis is not making a mark on hip hop. He’s more drake, a pop star with a kardashian stimulus
Now Carti is the one that has tapped into the white male demo that doesn’t prefer. He took Uzi style leaned More into a alt rap/ rock style

Travis is Rapping, he can’t be discounted in this discussion

Y’all be wanting to discredit rappers based on supposed white fanbases, Travis Scott is the epitome of being supported by a bunch of white kids. Travis may be popular but he’s not moving the needles in rap
To be fair this applies to Kendrick as well, as someone who's seen him live twice

Kendrick diehards are Fantano types

When I think of Sean, my mind immediately goes to his features, because he did so many and he was on songs with high-profile artists ("As Long as You Love Me," "Right There"). He's someone you get for a cool verse and honestly, he's the best at it. His voice just blends into the track seamlessly.

But he doesn't really have songs or verses that stand out to me. Dark Sky Paradise is the album where it seemed like he was about to elevate, but is it better than Drake, Kendrick, or Cole's best work? I can't really think of any moments where Sean rapped and I believed he was on the same level as those guys. If this was WWE, Sean would be upper midcard. Multiple IC title runs, but he didn't have what it took to be world champion.

Also, what songs did Sean write on Graduation? Everyone says that, but no one's ever given receipts.

Big Sean is just boring bro. Voice isn't great and lyrics are pedestrian. Beat selection is poor, too. Has he ever said anything about ANYTHING? Just audio blandness.
I think Bug Sean is pretty generic. The label was its able to push the right buttons
