How does that contradict anything I said? Of course he was some peoples’ favorite.

Favorite rapper and best emcee aren’t the same thing and they definitely weren’t in the early 90’s. A lot of peoples’ favorite rapper was Doug E. Fresh or Hammer later but nobody said they were the BEST rapper. Everyone knew Rakim was the god. The fact that you would use the 2010’s Internet forum term “lyrical miracle” in reference to perceptions of early 90’s hip-hop shows your disconnect. :mjlol:
:gucci: Then why bring up “MC skills” then? Ice cube never said his list was based on who can make “my lyrical, ill spiritual” bars.
Also, Ice Cube has shown Pac respect plenty of times, omitting him off this list doesn’t change that fact

shyt is treasonous to Pac fans when he isn't mentioned,
I DONT THINK
ITS THE FACT HE WASNT MENTIONED PERIOD.

IT HAS MORE TO DO WITH SOME
OF THE NAMES THAT WERE MENTIONED
THAT MAKES IT SEEMS SUSPECT.

After the first 4 it seems like he was just freestyling and throwing out whatever name came to him that he thinks is dope...you can tell he never thought it out and ranked them like that.

It's really just "Ice Cube's Top 4"...then "others he thinks are dope", lol. Maybe he just didn't think of Pac in the moment on the spot...he didn't list Rakim or LL or Face or Kane, etc... if he had more time to think I'm sure most of them would have been named over some of them other guys he threw out there.

Exactly . Most these lists in interviews are off the top so people start just listing people that come to mind. Even in some interviews the interviewer influences who they say by going ‘what about BIG?’ What about Pac’? So the person goes ‘oh yeh BIG too’

I mean maybe Ice T was more impactful and influential to Ice Cube personally than Pac was. Cube was already established when Pac was out so he probably wasn't as influential to Cube:yeshrug:
Slick Rick, Ras Kass, & Chuck D ahead of Pac? :childplease:

Pac is like Jordan because they are both GOAT'd for intangibles nobody can touch

GOAT list rarely are about straight skills...
...otherwise, that list should be all lyrical miracle type cats

He has put Rakim on that list before. It’s always Melle Mel, Chuck, Ice T and someone else.

He probably just forgot to put Pac on the list as well.

but as others have stated, his top four or five are etched.

it was when he was asked to name a top 15 when he had to reach and start thinking.
