i just got back from 8 months split amongst Kenya, South Africa and Namibia.I think I’d feel at least “some” sympathy if Black immigrants would come to the U.S. and make an effort to unite with Black Americans more. But nooo.
They(especially African brehs!) don’t be wanting to help us champion any of our racial causes. A lot of times they even blame US for all the ills affecting our community, especially when a police shooting of an unarmed Black person happens. That’s always when I see the worst of Black immigrants in action.
And they tend to lean Republican too and that certainly doesn’t help pluck the sympathy chords. Idk brehs, I’m just having a hard time feeling any sympathy for people who have no sympathy for ME.
Almost every contact I’ve had with Black immigrants ends up serving as a reminder to me that all skin folk just ain’t ya kinfolk. Just my experiences I can’t speak for anyone else
Truth be told, especially in Southern Africa, many black Americans would not even be considered black. There is an insane amount of negativity and hostility towards lighter skinned people in Africa, unless they are nonblack.
They also tend to be major bootlickers and authoritarian oriented because their entire existence is predicated off of systems left to them by people (Europeans and now Asians) who had no intention of empowering them mentally.
Notice how left leaning leaders on the continent tend to be killed off by their own folks. To me it seems like Africans are entirely against the progress of both themselves and black people globally, hence their actions and lack of basic common sense practices.

I don't know how beneficial it is if the process is carried out in such a chaotic haphazard fashion. If it were being done in an orderly efficient manner with minimal upheaval to the society then it could be argued that it was beneficial. However activating the national guard is a bunch of clown shyt, especially when the national guard has not been activated with FEMA in actual disaster zones caused by recent weather events.
If you want to end illegal immigration then criminalize the employment of them. You have to go after employers that are evading paying taxes by employing illegal immigrants. That is why illegal immigrants are in the USA. It is cheaper and easier to go after crooked employers criminally for tax evasion. That would be ruthless efficiency, to t target employers. They already know who rhe employers are so all that they have to do is start pulling records and going after tax evaders.
so you're saying this is all another event in a series of political theatres.
i'm not shocked. the bulk of the employers are white, so of course consequences are going to be limited. the people pulling the strings and paying for these are these same white right wing or right wing adjacent persons.
regardless, the answer for us as Black Americans is to use this limited time where we aren't the focus, to get hunker down and get ready.
