Horizon 1 was a very surprising game when it dropped. No one expected it to be that good coming from an FPS studio. What Sony is doing now is taking advantage of an interesting IP. Forbidden West outsold Zero Dawn.

I wouldn't call it a plant it just keeps getting released opposite classic games like Elden Ring and BOTW

An Industry Plant game would be Concord. Or if you wanna get controversial it's Death Stranding, which uses Horizon's engine
