Correct me if I'm wrong cause I know you know your music, but I'm under the impression that those genres of music (especially rock, rap) were attacked because the establishment feared it for the subsersive potential it had, and given voice to the youth. On the other hand trap music is accepted/pushed by the mainstream precisely because they know those who listen to it aren't subsersive at all, and represent no threath whatsoever to the establishment.

I am fascinated by how so many of our people will acknowledge that mainstream media has played a major part in our social conditioning but perceive rap as an exception. It makes no sense. Listening to ANYTHING reptitively will have an effect on your sub conscious and trap rap is no exception. Its unfortunatr that this music has extremely self destructive messages.
Countering the effect this music (which is social conditioning whether you acknowledge it or not) has on the minds of our children will be one of our peoples greatest challenges.

This is kind of the problem I have with his latest album.

He has some basic social commentary and acts like its something profound....but scratching the surface at best.

He'll get cosigned because there's a "message" but it's neither profound nor deep. Like, you don't have to listen to his album or watch this interview to figure this out
