Vol 1 not blowing up is all the more proof Jay didnt just become a success by proximity or as some right of passage because he was next up....there were much bigger well known nikkas who couldve been pushed to fill that void if thats all it took...plus alotta nikkas came after Jay and as peers with Jay,he outlasted them all and never dissapeared as one of the top....jay faced more superstar competetion,and competetion in general than Biggie did and yall still talkin
All Biggie succefussly had to do was overcome Pac,and since a hit was put out by him or his boss so they wouldnt have to compete,he couldnt even do that succesfully
