dont act like we diminishing his accomplishments
you just said he was carried by d rob and parker, and said the spurs have been the best franchise in sports since duncan entered the league only because he was on good teams, but youre not diminishing his accomplishments?

The reason was team defense and the Spurs collectively laying off and letting him shoot. A strategy different from the regular season where LeBron dunked on Duncan. Parker was CLEARLY the best player in those finals. Please stop it, and I love Timmy's game.

As much I like Parker, that Finals MVP almost has an asterisk beside it because Mike Brown's dumb ass had an injured :flabbynsick: Larry Hughes guarding him when he could barely even run. Duncan was still the man, but he saw the mismatch and him and Pop were like :yeshrug: and just let Parker go to work like a lion on a wounded antelope. It just shows what an unselfish team player TD is that he was willing to defer in the finals when he was still the best player on the team because they had an obvious mismatch they could exploit.

Exactly. I don't disagree with you at all. I didn't say TP was a better player. he just had a better finals. Watching him leave Hughes on Tony P in game 2 was

Prolly true but your arguement is flawed. :mjpls: let's be honest, regardless of what stans or fans say, Shaq playing with Kobe hurts his arguement in this discussion....because Shaq was >>Kobe in those days. Duncan has never played with a player in his prime that he wasn't wayyy better than and he still held his own against those mighty Laker squads. You can't really compare a elite guard to a elite Bigman such as Duncan, who has been 1a or 1b best defender in the league over the course of his career. Bigmen are more valuable to a team than a guard. But outside of winning 1 more chip, what has Kobe done, that Duncan hasn't? Please list important accomplishments and not no "he scored 82 pts against bum ass Toronto".

duncan is the best PF of all time....(he really a C tho)

happy?

kobe is top 5 all time... and will be #2 all time whn he retires... duncan will be in the top 10

:snoop: :beli:

Duncan is already top 5 and he's ahead of KOBE imo. As a player and teammate.

Looking at it, Duncan is truely the perfect Bball player. Stays out of trouble and his teammates never has nothing bad to say about him. Not talking down of Kobe, but there will never be another player like Duncan...On or off the court.

Tim Duncan holds the record for the most total selections with 13 and was selected successively since his rookie year in 1998.[3] Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kevin Garnett, and Bryant follow with eleven total honors each. Michael Jordan, Gary Payton, Garnett, and Bryant share the record for most NBA All-Defensive first team selections with nine. Scottie Pippen, Bobby Jones, and Duncan made the first team eight times each. Walt Frazier and Dennis Rodman made the All-Defensive first team seven times.[3]

do you even know who Tim Duncan is off the court?...does anyone?...Kobe is much more likeable than TD because of his passion, he's alo much more hated tho...

Duncan was the best anchor in the 00's. A big man's impact on defense>>>>>>> A small guy's.

Duncan impacted the game way more defensively. That's not even debatable.

Dawg I just posted above that I was related to TD. I do not know him personally. I met him once when I was like 7 and he was getting ready to go to wake forrest. I'm from St.Croix. I think I'm somewhat able or qualified to comment on TD :jawalrus:

When it came to kobe vs duncan in Playoffs lets not pretend Kobe didnt crush Duncan and the Spurs souls multiple times. Both legends but going down Bean>Duncan in history.
