If Geno Smith doesn't get a chance in New York, I'm done.

I'm not here to shyt on Geno, I just don't get the premise of this thread. Fitz has been playing better than expected. I'm curious to know what game(s) Geno would have won that were lost this year.
Fitz is playing as I expected with the weapons we have and our OC. He's still throwing too many picks and limits what this offense can truly be.

When you're 4-36 on passes longer than 20 yards, that will come back to haunt you. Playing well vs. shytty teams (which Jets fans always cite when Geno plays well) doesn't mean much. Brandon Marshall's catch radius has been a god send.

But Geno DID actually beat the Pats. And Gates "dropped that shyt too" in another game vs. the Pats that Geno almost won. The Pats blocked a FG in another game Geno "almost" won vs. the Pats.

See what I mean! You are showing exactly what I see of Jets fans. When Geno does it, it's "ehhh" but Fitz gets accolades and a pat on the back for "almost" winning vs. the Pats. :heh:

I can't.

I'm responding to your comment about him only beating bad teams. That's it.

Jets were 3-10 with Geno at the helm last year.

Dog....you can talk around it, but the Fitz example of "almost" beating the Pats was altogether your idea to introduce in here and highlights my points of the selective nature of fans who forget that Geno did the same, actually win and had receivers fail him in close games vs them.

You brought up the Pats.you did...not me. I responded with Genos play vs those same Pats. But that's NEVER brought up.

Again....you expected the Jets to be better than 3-10 last season with Geno throwing to David Nelson and company? Like seriously...bring up records and tie expectations to them debating with end result statisticians who refuse to ingest the things that got them there

To say this...add context to Geno is a crime

All jets fans have wanted is average QB play to pair with one of the leagues better defenses. Now that we're getting it we have a few nitpicking because they've been pumping up Geno since he's been here.

We just beat the Giants. Enjoy the season for gods sakes.

Can't please everybody. Jets can win superbowl this year and some jets fans will still be mad

And here is the white talk radio voice of the Jets fan who for years wanted success with Geno playing with this:

Let's ignore that away.

Jets fans are the worst

The last two years were wastes of time for everyone including Geno. Rex should have been fired after 2012/

Either way., water under the bridge. New coach and GM....they like Fitzpatrick right now. I dont understand why you're so mad about Geno not playing when the team is playing relatively well.

But it came at the expense of a player who could possibly have more value to the Jets future.

Key word is possibly. The organization doesnt revolve around Geno's future. He wasnt that big of prospect to begin with...neither Geno or Petty were taken with salaries that committed to the future.

Uhhhh a possible productive on the CHEAP is a great thing for an organization. This "revolving angle" is junk. No one said such a thing

Possible production vs actual production on the cheap like we're getting with Fitzpatrick.

It's a veteran offense. Fitzpatricks having a good year. Geno isn't getting slighted or the shaft at all.
