What year did you first hear the album? You can't appreciate Jordan highlight reels in 2015. Takes nothing away from Jordan though. If you don't like it, you don't like it. My point is you-- don't matter.
I still enjoy Jordan highlights... nothing more poetic on the courts...
meanwhile lines like, "hand me a 9 and i'll defeat foes" and "stabbin bytches like the phantom" were NEVER impressive to me. Seemed like some inauthentic fake gangsta shyt with poor grammar.

Definitely heard it after IWW since no one knew who naS was till after IWW.

You were too busy listening to Elton John in 94

:dead:

I'm telling ya - some of these "I was there" posters are questionable as fukk. They were probably bumping Hanson "Mmbop", and now these muhfukkas wanna tell me what was hot on the streets at that time?!

fukk outta here!

See my point I never knew about that shyt nobody gave a fukk, plus hip hop was not the dominating force it is now R&B ran the early 90's

truth. and the second statement is truth too

I can do that for virtually any album, Snoop's wasn't the point.

After a certain amount of time things stop being certified, because it's not that important. Or, there is huge gaps between when they're certified, because again, this isn't the #1 priority for a lot of labels.
But here we are in 2015 talking about what was hot 20 years ago, based on the RIAA site. shyt is :mjlol:

Fred.

Most times, it's not that they stopped being certified, it's because they over shipped the album. A lot of albums were certified platinum or multi-platinum months or even weeks after being released.

I don't think it's a measure of how hot something is though.

Why :umad: though? You actin like I'm the only one in '94 to run out and NOT cop illmatic by the millions if not billions... I'm just one of like 5,999,950,000 that didnt buy that shyt. :francis:

How much it shipped has no bearing on it's certification unless someone pays though. That's what people (not necessarily you) don't seem to understand. They're acting like BIG or Jay or whoever shipped 500k and then the RIAA magically knew that, and sent them a gold plaque. RIAA doesn't even check for that shyt unless it's paid for.
