if it weren't for Puffy, would Biggie be anything?

It was Puff's fault. Once he knew Biggie was the star he completely abadoned Craig Mack. Biggie also didn't have a strong relationship with him though they were cool. I only said it was Big's fault too but it wasn't what he did personally to craig it was the fact he was so good he just outshinned craig to the point Puffy just made Biggie his top priority. I mean it was weird, after "Flava Remix" it was like Biggie was truely the Star. It was crazy. As for this track, that's was not the reason Puffy kicked craig to the crub. Let's keep it 100. Craig Mack's 2nd album should of been apart of Bad Boys Mega 1997 year.

im sure that was a big factor, but my personal belief is that the "when god comes" type shyt, his attitude, and other things he had to say at the time were the biggest reason for him getting blackballed :manny:

Craig is and will always be apart of Bad Boys Legendary Legacy. It's just sad what happen looking back. But Biggie was special, even Craig knew that and said so himself. God "Flava in Ya Ear" is a true Hip Hop Classic, original and remix. That beat still gives me chills till this day.

All I'm going to say on the Craig situation is this. Puffy and Biggie are to blame for what happen to Craig Mack. He should of had a better career. "Flava In Ya Ear" is the song that put Bad Boy on the map. Not "Juicy or Big Poppa" though they were huge. It was "Flava" that set this ish off. Some could argue "Dolly my Baby Remix" but that was Supa Kat's track. "Flava" put Bad Boy on the map.

How exactly is Biggie the "blame"? The blame for making a better album and more hits than Craig? If anything, Puff takes the weight for focusing everything on BIG after the first couple months and completely taking it off of Mack, but BIG outshinin' this nikka ain't a fault on his part. That's like saying it's Nas' fault that Kurious and Big L didn't become stars...

And then let's also address another glaring omission about this post: that album was the definition of half-ass. Craig should've had a better career? He should've had a better album too. It can't be every-body's fault but his.

I explain in my next quote that Biggie was only "Indirectly" to blame. I put most of the blame on Puff. He could of easily put Biggie in the forfornt and still nurtured Mack's career, it was like he put all his chips in Biggie and the RnB artist and kicked Craig to the side. It was only once Ma$e got in the picture he expanded the Hip Hop outside of Biggie. Notice by the time 97 Rolls around he has Ma$e, Lox and even Black Rob. Shoot even before that he was trying to bring Missy into the crew too. Why was there no room for Craig? I know there were other things that happen behind the scene but no I do blame Puff mostly, It's only Biggie's fault for being more talented. That's it.

For the record, "Flava In Ya Ear" was a bigger hit on the charts than "Juicy" even though his album didn't outsell "Ready To Die". It still went Gold so that's still good in 94.

Nah man. I bought that joint and regretted not getting lunch instead. The Friendly's in that mall was poppin'. Loved the peanut butter cup ice cream. Woulda enjoyed that more than the hour I spent tryin' to like that album. Coulda had lunch at Friendly's breh. And bought the "Flava" remix single. It had the "Flava" remix AND the original on it. Didn't really need to hear a bunch of variations of "Flava", and a song called "Real Raw" that was dope as fukk. "Makin' Moves" was dope too. Rest of the album can kick rocks. shyt didn't live up to the lead single at all.
