Of course there is.... men and women were created for each other, and if you subscribe to the notion of traditional gender roles, men are supposed to be leaders and problem solvers in their families, communities and culturesSo Something off about men leaving their country because women aren’t cooperating? It isn’t something off about the women not cooperating?
So the idea that a dude who failed to step into that role in his home turf will be able to in a foreign country doesn't make sense. A lot of the societal/structural issues that have created rifts between black men and women in America are way worse in Brazil, so if you can't make it work here what makes you think it will be any better over there? Nobody ever solved problems by running from them.
