Wherever nikkas need to be told on
We generally only give credit for championships to whoever we consider the best player on that championship team (even though it’s a team accomplishment). And we place a great value on winning it all in our GOAT debates. So in that spirit, only right we have a breakdown of who really has the jewelry.

Before we get into it, a few caveats:
  1. Only dealing with the modern era
  2. Starting with Jordan because that’s when I really started watching
  3. I don’t care about Robins
  4. I meant what I said about those sidekicks; doesn’t matter how good they are
  5. Sometimes the best player isn’t clear cut (see Pistons ‘04 and Spurs ‘14) but I had to pick someone
  6. Just because you’re the Finals MVP doesn’t mean you’re the best player

I love Kobe but his performance in the 2010 finals is overrated. He almost shot his team to a loss and Ron Artest value was underrated in that finals.

So Kobe saving the team in Game 5 and 6 doesn't count eh? :ohhh: And the fact EVERYBODY on both teams shot bad doesn't count neither eh?:patrice: It was just 7 games on ultra efficiency that Kobe single handedly ruined huh? :skip:

You say Ron Artest value was underrated....he averaged 10 pts on 36% shooting for the series:pachaha: (shout out to him for his clutch shots though :salute:)

nikkas STILL trying to take away 2010 from Kobe because he had a bad shooting night the same night everybody else did:bryan:

Definitely wasn’t the most efficient shooting performance we’ve ever seen on the Finals stage but that doesn’t diminish the fact that he was clear and away the best player on that Lakers team. That was definitely his team.
