This thread came at the right time because i was about to start one myself to say something similar. Forreal, its like nikkas havent learned from the mistakes of like gen x dudes

I know some dudes will say, "not every black men is meant to be a boss" but its like, yeah i know not everyone is cut out for it, but thats not an excuse for why so many black men show little interest in it, there should be more who are trying to go that route, instead there are so many show no interest in whatsoever

There are too many dudes who have shyt jobs working for white men but arent trying to do anything about it...then they wonder why we're viewed as dependent instead of viewed as being bosses...and the thing is, i never knock a nikka for TRYING to build...u know...but if u are complacent or content with minimum wage scraps and are complaining about not being respected...its like fukk outta here man....

i busted my ass working like 2-3 gigs, stacking/saving money until i was able to start my own shyt...and made sure i didn't knock up any women along the way...i know not all black men want to go into business for themselves but its crazy that so few even want to or try

There have been black men that i have tried to help...and when it got to the point where it was time to actually put their money where their mouth was, dudes backed out. These were dudes who complained about their job and claimed they wanted better for themselves, i tried to give them the game on what to do, how to get started, etc. I gave them more info than the avg dude would. But they made excuses for why they never pursued it, and these same dudes find ways to get the new shoe releases, overpriced clothes, pop bottles, etc yet day in day out complain about how underpaid they are by their white boss

That is what i find holds black men back a lot from our true potential, there is too much complaining about not being respected by black women and white ppl etc, and not any action. That is a big reason why we're not respected as a collective. If a large amount of black men were actually trying to build then that'd be different but what i see is complacency, being ok with whatever's thrown to us by white men, wasting money on dumb shyt instead of using our money to build, and then complaining about our position in society

I made a thread recently about black men needing to have at least 2 streams of income....regardless of your occupation...boss or employee, u should have more than one stream of income...it got mixed responses but it's something that should be the norm....as i said even wealthy ppl generally have more than one stream of income even though they're already loaded...so why wouldn't a regular man who actually needs it, not want to have that...

Man....all I gotta do is look at my parents. Tired and worn out. I love them but, its the truth. Worked themselves to the bone all their lives making these white folk rich, kissing these white folk asses. White folk off living in nice houses, pushing nice whips, living good, while we had to struggle. But that's life for most black people. What do my parents have to show for busting their ass for 40 years for these white folk? Not much.

Not gonna be me.

(Middle class) white folk aren't much better. I used to work with alot of them, retired white folk who had good jobs but, didn't have enough money to retire on, so they were in there working with us youngins in retail. Or they got "let go" and couldn't find another real job because of their age, thus retail was all they could get. They played the game safe. Went to college. Became educated. Got the high paying career. Did everything right. Still pinching pennies and eating spam and tv dinners at 65 years old to stretch their fixed income.

Nah breh.

All that really tells me you need to build your own shyt. You're never going to be wealthy working for someone else. Alot of people hear that and be like yea aight nikka....it aint easy starting a business not realizing that every single job they ever had was a business started by somebody. You need to a) gain highly marketable skills (and find a way to leverage them) b) ownership (business) c) create multiple streams of passive income. I don't want to be like my parents having almost nothing or like other old folks I know having to eat potato soup for dinner because they don't have enough retirement money. I wanna be somewhere lamping with my money growing passively with a couple business systems running smoothly that don't need my constant attention. I don't even look at it as risk. When you look at the wide majority of black people and how their lives ended up, they would have been better served taking that risk.

Right now my life consists of saving bread and spending my nights learning to program. A friend and I have been talking about starting a startup/app since college. All talk. We never learned to code. And of course, we met with hundreds of people, went to a bunch of events all over town, networked, interviewed coders. Nobody wanted to come on. I mean, why would they? We were just two nikkas with ideas but, no way to execute them, and no funding. After realizing this, we decided to learn how to code. And that's where we been at everyday for the past 4 months. Our progress is lifting us up because we're seeing that we'll actually be able to build our shyt in a few more months. The front end already looks incredibly polished and professional.....just gotta figured out all the back end stuff and it's a wrap :banderas:

I agree but honestly it's hard to think straight when you're horny. It's hard to be confident in your endeavours when you're jacking off everyday. It's hard to think you can sell a product to people when you can't even sell yourself to the girl T the supermarket.

We're all humans man. We have bodily desires to let a nut off and psychological desires to be accepted.

Men of all cultures are the same in that we lust and chase after it. It's just that we are behind so I guess we feel the effect more. To sacrifice p*ssy is a big ask, so don't trivialize it fam. This shyt won't change until the women demand that black men get their shyt together

Yep. Folks don't want to hear real game though. Funny part is it isn't hard or expensive it just takes courage and organization. Fear has to be the weakest emotion and unfortunately a lot of black people are frightened into not making any moves when white people are conditioned to. It's deep.

When I try to push people into starting a business they always bytch and moan. It's a waste of resources I think. They'll never know the satisfaction of seeing their ideas become real and not being undermined or made to wait. It's all about taking what you're due and taking what you want. Building with like minded people. And not giving energy to negative people.
