All the things you've stated is true to a degree but, with the potential/talent he had with the right parts around him, I don't see how he couldn't have took over 90's hip hop. Again, all of this is just based on probability.Oh yeah with the GZA situation, I just think he was starting to loose that "hunger" so that's why it didn't pan out the way it did for him. It was going to be very hard for him to out do liquid swords anyway.
No one is doubting D.O.C's talent, or potential. But you started this thread with "If not for the accident". There's still tons of ways he could have went wrong.
Just like you say GZA was losing his hunger, the same may have happened to D.O.C. These guys become "stars" and everything changes. And it would have been hard for D.O.C to outdo "No One Can Do It Better". Plus accident or not, dude would still be an alcoholic right? It's not like he had his shyt together, and just happened to have a tragic accident. Dude wasn't living the type of lifestyle that would make me assume he would have sustained success. Kane, Rakim, Cube, Jay, etc don't have those types of issues.
