I think 'great' is a bit of an overstatement. Reigns is a more than competent brawler who is good for what he does, but he's not setting the world on fire with his in ring work.

So, once the boom braintrust of the Indy heroes is ruined by the WWE.
The WWE does not realize the last ability to create carryover quality wise from the last boom period will be totally exasperated.
So, the ability to piggyback off of experienced workers the WWE used to aid its attempt to make grapplers inhouse is over with completely.
Which means the WWE is going to be stuck with homegrown talent.
the likes of the Miz and Nikki bella as a ceiling talent wise.

So, WWE is dead if they don't recreate another boom period in the next two to three years.
As the last guard of Hogan/mr t/flair braintrust of talent had relevent carryover to the attitude era boom period.
To create the boom period of the attitude era that created the last Indy heroes of wrasslin.
Who if they, the Indy heroes of wrasslin did not materialize. wrasslin would have died completely as a possible high quality visual product.
Now, with no new boom era being created in the past fifteen years.
We are looking at the demise of high wrasslin being completely wiped out and wrasslin being a completely dead draw.

Ask yourself these questions and ask then with the wwe's ideals about who or what is good supposed to be good from their perspective and ask yourself.
Does the future really look bright for wrasslin.
After the Indy heroes of wrasslin are all hated on.
or purposefully ruined as a draw in the WWE.

Reigns is done. Brock to Cesaro should be the plan for next year. Bring back DBry to win belt at Summerslam to force a Cena heel turn at SS with help from Bullet Club, where he becomes their leader and wins 16x as a heel. Brock gets at Rumble to Cesaro at WM after he wins rumble.

Short term and intermediate, there's no good options and a chance for a few people to get their hands on the belt. I think an audible should be called for WM, as Reigns should not walk out of there as a face or the champ. His time has passed, for this round. He's still young, but if they keep forcing it, fans will completely lose interest in him as his detractors pile on his overexposure and flaws.

So I say Dean Ambrose is the only face in position to take the title. Should just be a straight 3 way, as Dean hasn't earned a WM moment that big. But since they're doing it for Fastlane, it would take a big event to force a 3rd person 2 PPV's in a row. Dean is too overexposed to be nothing but a transitional champion with the way he's built right now. As others have said, he needs a heel turn and moveset rework.

They made Roman invincible and a big deal from literally day 1. Only getting pinned once in the entire run with the shield, pinning Punk clean in his first singles match, etc etc. anybody on the roster would have gotten over with Romans push from day 1. The problem is that there's guys that came in with that kind of push, then it dwindles into mid card hell like Rusev KO, Barrett.

The same thing was with Cena's push, but you didn't get the sense that the E was literally burying talent (in the beginning) to prop him up because the roster was a bit thinner then. This roster is STILL stacked, despite the injuries, but Roman's uberpush has made a lot of talent stillborn, and overexposed in not going anywhere.

It's time to reshuffle the deck and look at the new hands, while understanding what their fans are looking for this time too. The E have proven they are not geniuses in this as they thought. Cena was just extremely lucky he got the kiddies and wifes/sisters of male fans of Attitude Era and Ruther Agression eras. Those dudes have evaporated.

This...If Vince was payoff patient it would have happened too. The rumble a few years ago we're he dominated, the fans were into it, they were disappointed when he got eliminated. Him getting over was going to happen if Vince just waited it out and let it happen instead of forcing it

he hit the nail on the head. the crowd popped and laughed even when he tossed ambrose and rollins from the match and then hit them with the . they ruined another one by going with a guy who is built like a superhero and booking him like he's the size of rey mysterio
