If OKC wins the title, is it the hardest path to a 'ship in NBA History?

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
OKC have to go through:

a 67-win Spurs team
a 73-win Warriors team (which had the most dominant regular season of all-time)
a prime Lebron-led team with two elite scoring options and one of the most talented squads of the modern era.

Era, style and matchup differences aside - NO team in the history of the league has had a more difficult path. I don't see how it's up for debate.

Without having home court advantage as well.

If we're only looking at pure strength of schedule, and no other factors.

I don't see how you argue anything else.

Would permanently change my impression of practically every player on the Thunder roster (except maybe Durant) if they pulled it off. It's like they suddenly changed into something different than they were before. Even Waiters has been a positive factor repeatedly!
Yeah they changed into a healthy team for the first time in 4 seasons.

Still feel like 2011 Dallas because dirk faced off against teams with multiple superstars and didn't have one of his own
Three big threes
Lebron bosh Wade
Durant Westbrook harden
defending champs,Kobe gasol Bynum.
All hall of famers except Bynum

And they didn't just win they smashed them
They were underdogs in every series

None of those teams beat a 73-win team (because there's never been one before). And I'm assuming one of those teams beat a 67-win team, but they might not have either, because there's only been a handful of those as well. And then they'd have to top it off by beating a team with the best player of his era... so IF the Thunder were to pull it off, they'd have to be at the head of the argument.

That said, even if they beat the Dubs, Bron gonna give them that work.

If healthy, they wouldve been gotten back to the finals. They havent really been a healthy squad this late into the season since thwir last finals appearance when you really think about except the year they lost to the spurs in the wcf.

I'm assuming you are referring to 2014 then.... Ibaka got hurt and missed the WCF IIRC. Spurs have never beaten the Thunder fully healthy... it's a bad matchup for them

Likewise. And I already knew Billy Donovan was a great coach as I've always been a fan of his st Florida. But folks would not be able to deny the greatness and overall coaching potential that he's got. I mean even if they make it to the Finals and lose, I'm fukking impressed

95 rockets.
they didn't have home court advantage in any round of the playoffs and faced 6 HOFs in their prime along the way.
