90's east coast artists got it good. Doesnt matter how bad you flop. As long as the east is the center of media. All the dweeby critics that think they're cool cause the listen to "real hiphop" will keep singing their praises pretending their failures never happened. Great position to be in.
Then their fans whom think 10-15 dweeby writers and opinions mean more than the millions of fans purchasing of other albums instead of theirs.

Did only five people on this site listen to Red Gone Wild? :wtf:

I'd also given up on Red being an elite rapper after Malpractice, but RGW was a borderline classic. That shyt goes from start to finish. Hands down the most surprising album I've ever listened to. I didn't expect to like more than five songs. Played it for the first time in a while about a month or two ago and it still holds up.

I have Red in my personal top ten, but I can understand why people wouldn't.

He fell off after Muddy Waters, that album with Method was trash to me

malpractice is his only bad release and his mixtapes are high quality and never tailed off and picked up where many could say he fell off.
red is like busta and rae mixtape wise.
after genesis for busta and the second rae album....
they all went back to high quality bulk recordings and people who really don't listen listen,..missed all of it.
as a matter of fact, gillahouse was one of the first good mixtapes in the whole mixtape boom.
as well as any busta or rae mixtape as well.

Willacoochee, Ga
he dropped a bunch of bullshyt during the era when i checked for him the most. not a huge fan of his first 2 albums but Muddy Waters & Docs Da Name are my favorites of his. Everything after that is spotty at best.

when it comes to pure spitters though he's easily top 10-15
